Unsurprisingly you didn't understand what I am saying. I am disappointed that resale and ownership are being lost (as well as peoples jobs).
"see customers as prey"
Eh, that kind of goes with the territory I don't find that they are any more immoral than any other store. Have you ever been to a pawn shop? Trust me gamestop gave better deals on games than any pawn shop I have ever been too.
Anti-consumer or illagal... what? I'm going to need some clarification on those claims.
Listen I am not for treating employees unfairly, but I also recognize that because of the hate surrounding the company that things are easily over blown. And my question would be. Do you think that people who are about to lose their jobs are going to be happy about this?
You're just getting stuck on the bandwagon and missing the larger picture in several ways...
It seems unlikely that less than half the CU (20vs52) will be able to do 1440p with the same settings. I think that if the games are going to have parity in settings and RT those games will end up at 1080p or 1440p with less FPS or or removed RT / or other post processing effects.
There is no other company like that except e-bay which is full of scammers and Amazon which is better but it's still a huge pain in the ass to resell things there unless you do it as a business.
The only place where you can walk in and ten minutes later walk out with cash is gamestop. When gamestop falls nothing is going to take thier place.
Tomsguide really upping their game today talking down Nintendo instead of bashing PlayStation this time, still sporting the contractually obligated Microsoft bias though.
He has made at least 3 public statements in the recent past as well as the announcements of changes that would be implemented.
And probably for legal reasons he wasn't able to make any statements until an investigation had taken place. I mean make up your mind do you want people accused of sexual harassment to be punished with out at least an investigation or not?
I have noticed that there seems to be a disproportionate amount of negative press coming from "PlayStation fan sites". I am beginning to think Sony may need to start thinking about some trade mark usage removals on some of these sites.
"They will never be able to fully dictate pricing because they don't make the consoles right?"
No, that's wrong. My understanding is that most of these storefronts allow publishers to opt out of sale pricing. That's why you basically never see games from certain publishers go on sale, or only rarely when the publisher approves the price.
Ah well, this hate train is in full force, so no one will speak up on how bad this is for consumers.
This further undercuts resale which even if a gamer doesn't use, it benefits them by keeping prices down. I feel like every day we get one step closer to game publishers being fully in control of pricing be it digital or streaming or subscriptions. Gone will be a days of ownership and waiting for games to drop in price to buy them when EA Activision and 2k get to dictat...
