Thats what she said.
Did you miss the part that said this guy didn't do anything else in the game aside from play the main story quests? He didn't do any side quests, multiplayer or anything. He basically just did a speedrun throught main story.
I think people are missing the fact that article said this guys didn't play any of the side quests or anything else. Just the main story quests.
Who's trying to justify anything? I played the beta and liked it. I don't know what people are expecting. Has it been overhyped? Yeah. I think everyone can agree with that. All the hype has made this game impossible to live up to.
However, after experiencing the game myself, i can honestly say i really like it. I didn't even pre-order until AFTER i played the beta.
Lets not forget that they are making claims about disconnects and lag, yet the servers aren't even up...
uh....this article is about Destiny, not Diablo 3.
You obviously missed the point of what he was saying.
No, of course we shouldn't listen to a developer tell us their game is good. But when a developer releases as many videos as Bungie has, as well as let fans play the Alpha and Beta versions of the game, then gamers have a much more informed idea of what to expect. Even more-so than listening to reviewers, because at that point, the fans have experienced the game themselves.
I don't know what the worry is about. The pre-orders alone pretty much guarantee that this will be a financial success. And considering it is always online, it guarantees people will always be on playing.
The only question is will it have the staying power to keep gamers coming back with endgame content? The weakest link, to me, was definitely the PVP. If that sucks, then this game could lose people's interest rather quickly.
I have hope though. Bungi...
I take it you skipped the beta?
As far as i know its jist something silly to do.
Dancing and emotes are a staple in MMO style games. Is this your first one?
Why would they go out of their way to do this in Japan when no one bought their console there? They would be doing all that work for a very small customer base.
No game tells you what the stoey is or why you should hate a particular character before it is released.
You might know the basic gist of the story, and who the bad guys/good guys are, but most of the time you don't really know anything.
Look at Halo. Before the original was released, you knew that you were a "super soldier space marine", the enemies were some reilgious fanatics, and there was this mysterious halo thing that no one knew anything...
I'm wet
Did you play the beta? There's definitely an overall story with characters.
I made that same mistake a year ago when ot came out on 360. The demo doesn't have the awesome tutorial. Believe it or not, this game actually has one of the best tutorials i've ever seen. After getting it on my PS4, i played the demo and now i feel like i have more of a purpose in this game. You should give it a try.
You played the iOS version. Thats like eating pizza with no cheese or toppings.
You realize the graphics are like that on purpose, right?
"What man power?"
Have you never played a game to the end and seen the credits? Those aren't all just random people they are listing. Those are the names of the people that made the game. All of those people have to be paid, which costs money. Yeah. That man power.
Don't be so greedy
The only legitimate way to allow reviews to sway you, if at all, is to not go off of the word of just one.
When a game comes out, if I'm on the fence about buying it, i read as many reviews as i can and take a general concensus type approach. If most of the reviews are positive, then chances are the game is quality.
Look at Colonial Marines. Remember that one site that gave it a 9/10 or whatever? Imagine if that was the only review people went by? You ha...
