Exactly. Most 6/10 games have something fundamentally wrong with the gameplay. There are glitches, or the game itself is unfinished, and lacks polish.
This game has none of that. Like I said before, aside from a weak story and similar missions, the game is great. No way in hell is it a 6/10.
If you haven't bought into the hype, then it won't disappoint you, as its still an awesome game. Does it live up to the impossible amount of hype behind it? No. No game could have done that.

I love Desting. Solid 8.5 as there are definitely a couple things it didn't do fantastic. The story being the biggest problem. Also, lack of variety in missions.
However, its still monumentally fun to play, and the gameplay is flawless. Its not every day a game comes out with gameplay as perfect, and fun as Destiny.

I feel the reviews for this game are extra critical because of the hype train behind it.
I've never seen a game with such good, polished, damn near perfect gameplay mechanics get scores like a 6 or 7. And i've noticed that no one has complained about gameplay. The complaints are all centered around the story and lack of variety in missions. Thats about it.

I love thia game. I really do. I can't get enough of it and i look forward to getting home and playing it every day at work.
However, even i can admit its not a 9.5. For me, anything between 8 and 9 is where it should be.

I've actually played all those games.
As of right now, I've got about 8 hours in to Destiny. Keep in mind, that is not mission time, that is total time the game has been running. I'm Level 8, I've only finished the 2nd mission on the moon as far as story missions (I replayed 2 story missions with a friend to help him level up), and the Strike mission on Earth (which took two hours with two friends.)

Well, for starters, it opens up more options for better gear/weapons. It opens up new game modes, including the weekly raid missions. There are the upcoming Nightfall missions. Not to mention the expansions down the road, I believe the first one is in December.

Thats what people don't seem to get about the loading time. The maps are gigantic and the game never pauses to load while your in the game. Thats where the loading time is people. Not only that, but its only about a minute. It isn't even enough time to go take a leak. Trust me, I've tried.
