Which is weird b/c the article title said 'ten months' when I looked at it.
"EDIT: i wonder if Ms will be adjusting their release dates towards the end of the month so that it somewhat forces people to subscribe for a second month to play the newer games."
What? This isn't how Game Pass works nor any digital subscription service. You start today on Jan 31st. you're next charge comes Feb. 28th/29th, end of March, and on and on. That's what the advertised "x dollars a month" has always meant.
@XabiDaChosenOne
"To everybody co signing maybelovehate 's retarded analogy, you guys do understand that NPD SALES and Nielsen RATINGS are twI completely seperate things right?"
I'm sure most people are aware of the fundamental difference; however, the intention of said response still holds water: does it matter if MS places on some arbitrary chart if they'll still get more money & eyeballs towards their going this digital route?...
While I *think* many would understand your intention with this comment, terms like "rich" and "immersive" are pretty malleable. Many would argue such descriptors would fit just as well, if not more so with Minecraft, due to its design and the creative canvas it allows.
@Sunny_D
Well...why not? That is their most recent acquisition (on game dev side, not tech) of this generation. And since EA, with its plethora of sports licenses on multiple platforms, is one of such companies listed...there's validity in bringing it up.
"Doesn't "fresh face" mean that it's a new face that no one has seen before?"
The phrase is contextual.
@uptownsoul
I'm still a bit lost as to how you're making these arguments regarding Game Pass not being comparable to Netflix. Are you just emphasizing a big difference between their need of retailers and simply saying "you can't compare them" on that basis? Or are you totally disregarding their similar subscription structures (what's typically the basis for comparing these types of services)? It's a shame you didn't acknowledge my respon...
@uptownsoul
"This is the EXACT reason why you cant compare GamePass with Netflix. Netflix doesn't have to worry about brick & mortar retailers selling their hardware."
Except that's an absurd reason to do so. People compare services based on the similarity of the types of services rendered and monetary structures, not auxiliary factors disconnected from that. And the fact that some are carrying this action as a 'canary in the c...
Oh I can agree the potential of spending 28 whole shots (per round) was extraordinarily high. But a ~60%-65% reduction from that strikes me as too much. 7 or 8 shots would've been the sweet spot.
Awesome! Now to go back and rectify some of your sins from this recent update. 5 shots per Twitch drone? Absolutely ridiculous.
Only an hour after approval and getting conspiracies like this? Running a bit late today.
Considering the game we're talking about here & the power of the system, hitting native 4K wouldn't be that challenging. I think the hang-ups on the resolution disparity should be focused more on what smaller teams can muster between both when they potentially don't have a whole lot of resources or time for these mid-gen upgrades (or simply "don't care about optimizing" if following Pancit's logic).
But we don't know what extra time, funds, etc. this small team had to begin with (especially when considering EA's boot over them). Things just aren't that simple.
Buzzer beater finish! Glad I remembered giving Little Nightmares some credit before finishing. :)
Better answer! :D
Ah I see. Haven't taken the poll yet (as you can now tell!).
I'm confused here. How is this relevant?
That's where the code will be sent, if you win.
Indeed. That's really the only peeve I'm having with these update announcements. With such extra power a performance or 4K option should be a standard.
Given how transparent every publisher is obligated to be with their game's release date months in advance, I don't find this particularity compelling--or even mischievous on MS' part. Just look at your own example, for instance.
"if i subscribe as of tomorrow, the 1st and a game isn't released until say the 20th of the month"
Well, if you already know said game is releasing on the 20th what compelled to jump the gun early in sub...
