Goddamn. Croc in the beginning of April and now Sphinx in the middle? Let's have Tak and the Power of Juju cap off the month for us.
-"Not even the fans of rhythm games bought HI Fi."
That doesn't speak to it being an average game though. It's among the most praised action games of the past few years.
While I still need to complete Hi-Fi, I *can* speak more directly to Pentiment and that's among Obsidian's best titles.
Limited Run did "runs" for Pentiment, Hi-Fi Rush, and Grounded: Fully Yoked Edition. With luck, maybe they'll have a short sale on their amazon page or their backlog.
@Lucas
"it did go on to chart high in the US sales charts in the following months after it won GOTY."
Sure, but it charted below the likes of Hogwarts Legacy and various sports titles. That's still a fine feat, but I just don't see that as solid proof of Lightning77's claim of it doubling sales (at minimum) since breaking 1.5 million in November 2024. That's all.
Bro saying this about Hi-Fi Rush and Pentiment. smh
-"So what it's just stuck at 1. 5m?"
I didn't say that either. Simply that I don't think it's gained another 1.5 mil sales (at minimum) - at least not yet.
A non-Mario platformer selling 1.5 million in ~2 months is *NOT* indicative that it's reached 3-4 million now. That's not to say it doesn't deserve that number, mind you.
"Revive?" It may not be *as* prominent today, but who's pretending that style has been utterly dormant?
I remember reading somewhere about how KZ3 simplified hit damage registration from KZ2 and thinking "why would you tinker with something everyone appreciated?"
That's what annoying to me: its scope, interlocking systems, and so on *should* make it an easy shoe-in. I just don't think it reaches that final hurdle.
Gotcha. Well, fingers crossed that the problem has been rectified.
Damn. Have you tried reporting the issue to Warhorse for some potential workaround?
Even though it'd set you back, perhaps you could load in one of your earlier auto-saves where the main quest wasn't broken. It sucks, but at least it wouldn't be a full reset.
Fares has basically been enjoying a level of creative freedom similar to George Lucas after A New Hope. Since he's only connected to EA through their 'indie' publishing unit, EA Originals, Hazelight gets all excess profits once the EA contract is fully settled. Both sides know he can just as easily secure that kind of deal with someone else.
Got a link? I'm down to read it.
The list is missing Folklore.
God. The "what could've been" you're describing would've been way better than just being the most empty cinematic shooter slop of that generation.
C'mon now. You know *why* truthBombs used that specific term.
It was very limited (intentionally), but there was one part that caught my eye: the faster traversal when rappelling. You practically look a wall-running pilot from Titanfall, which can open up so many opportunities.
"Long-term seller" is total delusion at this point. The immense drop-off of reviews for its first expansion is a clear sign that most interest has faded. Any remaining fence-sitters are likely waiting for a steep sale of the Deluxe Edition.
I feel like this won't be the last Ubisoft *random location* to shutter its doors this year.
