It's sad. They don't even comprehend the irony of claiming to champion ethics and transparency, while attempting to censor any dissenting view and ruin the lives of those who don't agree with them.
"If this new site could actually keep out Fanboys & Trolls, I would gladly be a supporter."
That would rule out the very group which backed it, then.
Despite widespread belief that sites agree to positive coverage in exchange for ads, it really, honestly, doesn't happen. I know a wide variety of gaming journos in other areas of the press, and not a single one has ever come across any instance of that sort of thing. And as a site owner myself, I have never once been placed under any pressure to give a good score. We don't even tell publishers what our score for a game will be until after we've published the review - and they don...
They do. Dozens have been set up over the years, and they've all failed. This won't be any different, and is just the latest attempt by GamerGate to try and give themselves legitimacy.
Most other social causes they've attempted to hijack in order to whitewash their reputation have been intelligent enough to refuse the donations. Clearly, this woman doesn't have that kind of integrity.
Bloody idiots.
And supporters of GamerGate wonder why the movement has become a poison chalice for any reputable news outlet.
It was actually a boy who was murdered.
In the UK, it's spelled "paedophile". Given that the story originates in the UK, it's the correct spelling according to that region.
And as already mentioned, under UK law, anyone sleeping with someone under the age of consent is classed as a paedophile.
In the UK, the legal age of consent is 16 and the law deems anyone below that age to be unable to give consent.
Anyone over the age of 16 sleeping with a minor is therefore guilty of statutory rape under UK law.
A 19 year old sleeping with a 14 year old is, therefore, classed as a paedophile in the eyes of the law in England.
But hey, never mind that a child was raped and murdered. Instead, let's get all caught up in pedantic arguments ov...
That's mainly because they slashed the resolution dramatically, in order to fit better textures and lighting on screen.
Yes, he actually did piss himself.
No, I have no idea why he confessed that.
He actually said this last September at a press event (I was there). Odd that it's only just worked its way into the public domain.

Well if they're adding ODST, Reach can't be too far behind. Reach on XBO, in 1080p/60fps? With all maps? God, I hope so. They'd be insane not to, and the addition of ODST has set a precendent now. Fans will demand it.
I know it's several years to early, but we'd give our eye teeth for Halo: Reach Anniversary.
343 was insane when they ditched firefight. It was the best multiplayer mode halo has ever seen after griffball.
Which is another point - why no griffball playlist in. MCC.??
Reach would be amaze balls.
Add that, and all we need is Halo Wars 2 to be announced.
Perhaps you should read the rest of the article - that really isn't the thrust of the argument. A number of reasons are given, and none of them have anything to do with whether FF7 was actually a good game or not.
Sorry if you didn't like it, jambola. However, judging the entire article when you haven't read beyond the second paragraph, by your own admission, is a little unfair :)
There are still a few issues, but it largely works ok now.
It does take a while. Plus then there's the 15gb multiplayer patch. You can still play the campaigns without the multiplayer patch - and thankfully you can play while it's downloading - but yeah, it'll certainly take a while before it's all done and updated!
Totally worth it, however :)
Give it six months and it will probably get an HD "remaster". Seems to be the prevailing trend these days.
