There's no point in defending buggy games because "the code is bigger now". That's what they want you to do. Most buggy or incomplete games are this way because they're pushed out in time for the holiday season.
We are spending more money than ever, hiring bigger teams than ever, using the latest tech, and until recently using old engines. Everything is moving with the scope, except the quality.
This is probably the area where Nintendo s...
I got it for 40 bucks physical, cant beat that.
Crystal Dynamics is a very talented studio, but their strength is not in story telling. I don't feel engaged at all, it just felt like they checked all the narrative boxes without much thought.
I'm offended by this, with my Pachter/Keighly 2016 button gleaming proudly in the sun.
Hey, dont be an ass about it. You could've just ignored him, he gave your article a click so you owe him that much, right?
@kalebninja
Changed how? No one is saying what has changed.
Nowadays the internet can make or break a game with backlash or fixation.
Now we have sites that rake in revenue just for starting wars over how many pixels are present or which exclusive has better pavement.
I find it very impressive that a team of 80 working with weaker hardware consistently outranks the massive budget, technical showcases companies like Square have been producing as of late.
I cant wait to see what Monolithsoft does next.
Thats more a testament to KH2 than KH3 looking bad
They havent, but they'll still beat BF. I bet BF would already be on top if BF3 and 4 weren't such buggy, gimmicky games.
I remember when the bf4 trailer first came out and we were all wowed. I kind of cynically thought to myself that massive skyscraper was the only one you could destroy in the game... and i was right XD.
To be fair, the xbox platforms have zero presence in Japan, and that's where a lot of those sales come from.
You say "a majority of xbox fans", but JRPGs dont sell to a majority of "Playstation fans" either, assuming you are talking about general consumers (since identification of a fan is totally indeterminable otherwise). I believe FF XIII was the best selling JRPG of last gen, and it sold to 1/16 of PS3 owners.
So what constitutes a...
I love how everyone just generalizes a variety of opinions into the opinion they want to see and then call it "_______ fans" as if a pool of N4G fools represents any kind of majority.
But other than that he's ok
Commercial disappointment doesnt mean critical disappoint
Limp Poultry is a way better name than Solid Snake, i think we'll all agree
I'm sure he kept some of the guys that worked on it. But how rough to spend that long crafting the perfect engine for his type of game, only to start all over or settle for UE or something.
He must do what i do - push-ups during his cutscenes
Im pretty sure infinite doesn't need the mod since it runs on a different engine and has no object physics
The brutality
@jholden
Yeah, i know what they said. Miiverse BS is just the first thing that popped into my mind. I used that word off the top of my head but i know what they meant.
I dont get why you would come to this article just to say you don't care about it.
