@DarkKent
Consoles sold in NA last gen: around 123.48 million
Consoles sold in EU last gen: around 82 million
That's probably why. They also put a lot into both Japan and Europe at the start of last gen and couldnt break the Wii and PS3 stranglehold in either market, but the 360 became the best seller in America.
MS doesnt have the international relationships and resources Sony does, and since their attempts to break into...
Consoles arent made with any kind of "max" or "minimum" resolution. There are games on 360 running at 1080p and also some as low as 560p (Alan Wake).
Back before the Xbone released we never heard many games would run at 900p. They just said it was capable of 1080p.
DAYTONAAAAA
The Dreamcast has long been in vogue, and the spirit of classic era Sega is prevalent in titles like Splatoon and Sunset Overdrive. Sonic has been done to death.
Never has the time been more right to revive old Sega IP's.
Yeah that'll work until 2018-2020 when the PS5 and next Xbox drop. Then Nintendo will be behind yet again.
I didn't :/
And from what I remember Miyamoto was actively working on a mobile game and had a lot of concepts on them.
Not that I think the mobile market is really bad for them or us, that remains to be seen.
They actually said the MK8 producer and Miyamoto were both working on mobile games.
@LOL_WUT
I'm not taking either side of the argument, but is the Wii U not a massive risk? This is just their first big risk that really failed. Stuff like valuable R&D and unit price were put towards things like the Wiimote and 3D, when they could've made a typical system instead. That's called risk taking.
Yeah but the game also ran on practically identical hardware, it couldn't have been hard to port.
We've heard a lot of conflicting accounts on what the NX is, but it's almost certain that it wont have much in common with the Wii U.
I mean it was in development for around 4 years before Nintendo got involved. They switched engines 3 times i think. Development hell destroyed this games potential, it could've been an awesome game looking at the 2010 trailer.
That's probably what the print was limited to. Wish that was 3k copies of Fatal Frame instead, though...
The original release came with both games on separate discs (In the US). In Europe i believe only the special edition had Bay 1, but it also came in its own box.
I would gladly take the same game without trophies for less. These games existed just fine without trophies 10-15 years ago.
@Naroon
If it takes so much effort, they really shouldnt bother.
This must be a joke. I thought it was a pretty spot on review until then, but that actually invalidated it. Just the fact that he would make up the multiplayer just to criticize it for imaginary reasons is lazy trolling.
@marloc
That's because 3ds games dont typically take any more than 1.5 gigs. Next gen games will probably be well over 50 gigabytes, with some games this gen over that number.
If you wanna pay 75 bucks for games, you go right ahead though ;)
But it'll drive up game prices, like in the N64 days. Although carts have their perks (cheaper hardware, faster load times, durability, copy protection) the difference in price is enough to render it inferior.
@Thekhurg
This whole idea of companies "beating" each other as the end all, be all of what drives this business is so misled.
That didn't happen this time around because all signs point to a rushed Xbox One release, even though the 360 was getting beaten by the PS3 for years.
It's all about profit. Like how MS dropped the original Xbox like a bad habit since it never made them a single penny, not because it was getting beate...
Well the PS4 doesn't (although i could reach and point out the remote play gimmick which uses touch screen controls), but the Vita does have that touch screen gimmick, and the Xbox One has the SmartGlass gimmick.
And no, don't ignore my question by asking me why i don't know your answers. I want to know what Nintendo games have bad touch screen controls. Note: Nintendo games.
Although motion controls took a while to get rolling, hardly anyone argu...
And yet both touch screens and motion controls are supported every platform this gen, and dont seem to be going anywhere.
And please describe any game where one has to "maniacally tap superfluous touch screens"
But a big reason for the decline of console gaming in Japan was the PS3 itself. The architecture was so convoluted that Japanese devs either
A: Stuck with the PS2 or
B: Flocked to the 360 (hardware didn't sell) or Wii (software didn't sell).
The big problem was that unlike the PS2 days where it was the clear leader, the PS3 was a slow burner that was both expensive and expensive to make games for. It took until the second half of last gen to r...
I still play RE4 every now and then. I can almost play it with my eyes closed at this point.
I would say:
REmake
Resi 2/4
Code V
Resi 3
Zero
Resi 1
