Its the only 3D sonic on all 3 platforms besides Shadow and now, Frontiers.
Heroes did well also because of the PS2’s success and a lot of Sonic fans were created after SA2B on Gamecube came out, too.
Is it really that big at this point?
I agree with your earlier post that Infinite’s gameplay is great and feels well thought out. But the lack of content, mediocre campaign, and slow drip of content has killed it. Thats on 343.
We’ll never see that money back. Mark my words.
I do too, but having a dependable and common engine would go a long way toward fixing development cost and time.
At first I appreciated the ambition, but the game has awful pacing with next to no personality for any of its characters, even Bayonetta. The first two games were so much more visually interesting and entertaining to play. You can't even hear the enemies which are just malevolent bobs. The combat feels much less tight and has less flow than the second or especially first game. This is all beside the fact that the game looks like its from 2006.
That said, I'm glad it...
I always preferred it. It always grounded the Prime games and made Samus seem more real.
Majora’s Mask did the same thing, its considered one of the best sequels ever made
A significant evolution of the AI Director would be amazing. Increase the count for zombies on the map (which was low in the old games due to limitations of course). Make good maps (L4D1 style) and you have a very refined game
Its got the same animations and everything. Its not a new engine. Its a heavily tweaked port.
Pretty impressive for a 100 man studio. I hope the game does well
Callisto released in a hot retail month, while Dead Space released in the slowest month of the year.
I can see Callisto having snagged some sales simply for being the first to market. Horror games have long legs though, and Dead Spaces will be longer than Callisto’s due to its critical reception.
You can just set the console internally to 1440p, no? The VRR-capable TV will support VRR no matter what the res is.
Grounded is one of the most underrated games I've played. It has everything it needs to be more popular, but no one has given it a shot. I think like many I saw it was an early access game and waited for a release and forgot about it. Now that it's complete, it's great. I think Hi-Fi Rush is as much a lesson in game development as it is in marketing. The surprise release did wonders. The internet had no time to inflict negativity upon the game years prior to release.
Series X at launch was 495 in JP:
Before this price cut it was $422, now it will be 59,978¥ = 460.93
So yeah it is an adjustment due to the weak yen and its still a generous price in the grand scheme.
I doubt they’ll lose out on much. The xbox community there is just comprised of hardcore collectors. Its like if back in the 90’s they raised the price of a Turbo Grafx-16 lol.
Even if this hurt sales by 20% we’re looking at maybe a few thousand units for the year.
I usually buy physical on Xbox but bought digital since it was 7 bucks off with EA Play
Not really. It has a great looking world, but it doesnt hold a candle to the atmosphere of DS or Bioshock
They nailed the sandbox but the maps are symmetrical esports crap like every other game. What happened to fun maps in games??
The simple fact is im sure many in Russia feel the same way about this war as US everyday folks felt about Iraq. Vietnam, WW1, etc…
They just arent allowed to say it. That self righteous people are so ready to write off their hard work because they cant answer this question is hilarious. You didnt give the right answer with a gun to your head? Cancelled! Congrats, you just put another gun to their head
@Mr Pumblechook
You’d be crazy to think that’s what they should do. This game and IP are DOA, no one wants to play a crappy loot shooter in 2023. This is the first Series X exclusive game aside from Flight Sim, and it looks and runs (30 fps) like a game from 10 years ago. Arkane should be making the games that have made them a name. Not trying to make all the unappealing aspects of this game appealing in another multimillion dollar gamble on Redfall 2…
