i was never one to criticize the vita itself, but the way sony handled it.

I never understood why people thought it would help sales tremendously. It doesnt play most of the games, and this is japan were talking about here.
Why would they opt for a vita chained to the tv instead of the portable one, especially when the price isnt much better.
Vita has no where to go but up though.

it says "a new look" at an upcoming wii u game. could just be a new trailer for something :l
its not really a Nintendo art style, its just chibi which is a fairly common form of anime. atlus might have opted for it since their etrian odyssey series is pretty popular on 3ds.
and yeah if the pattern continues vita will get a definitive version of persona 5 a couple years after the ps3 release. happened with persona 3 and persona 4 sooo...

They might have just as much as a presence as MS and Sony, actually. They'll probably announce something new, then talk about the hardcore stuff coming to the system next year (bayonetta 2, Zelda, X, smash bros 4, more?) just like MS and Sony are.

i can see MS's reasoning... they put rare's talent into financially viable positions rather than let them continue to make unsuccessful sequels to their old games, which dont have an audience on xbox.
can safely say i didnt see that coming.
hope more characters are on the way... im starting to fear were not getting very many new ones.
i dont know about a tablet but i do predict them to merge the handheld and console products in some way

i think that's more a case of the type of game.
smash bros has a more mature, speculative fanbase that might frequent a site like gamefaqs just to talk about balance, fighters, stages etc.
super mario 3d world is a really straight forward game of which much has been revealed.
Exactly... after a year mario U is still in the top 50 and selling for 60 bucks on a console with no install base. That says a lot about the longterm sales for mario games.

Lol. i EXPECTED the wii u to have more games with a year headstart. how am i being unfair? i didnt buy a wii u til a few months ago, almost a year after launch, i'll wait just as long for ps4/xbox one. on top of the current library, and considering the coming one, in my opinion the wii u is the console to own at this time.

nintendo often lets petty things get ahead of their hardware planning. no, im not referring to gamepads or motion controls, that's all purely subjective.
stuff like using proprietary discs, which disables dvd and blu ray playback. stuff like enabling region lock when EVERYONE else has gotten over it. stuff like sticking to cartridges and using mini-dvds to reduce piracy, even when it was to the detriment of their system.
stuff like that, we can all agree, has to go. im sic...
wow glitches are a lot more freaky since the graphics are so lifelike now.

Vita is like the gamecube or original xbox... not a big install base but people buy a ton of games for it.
