Technically they havent been targetting ANYONE enough, even the kiddy advertisements didnt show up until later last year. The general gamer is stable and supportive, thats who they need to target. Like the gamecube commercials. Look at those, they showed star wars next to luigis mansion, kids and teens and adults. Thats what they need to do.
Iwata made more money in his years then the entire company did in a century. The wii gen produced god knows how many times the revenue of the other two competitors combined. If you ask me yamauchi was a vastly inferior CEO. It was his descisions that dug the hole the company is in now just as much as Iwata's. 3rd party support died with the n64 when he refused to use $1 CDs over $35 cartridges, then died some more with low capacity mini discs on the gamecube.
I could see the old N...
@Heavy
The ps3 gets its lead in countries outside of the US, where FPS games sell the best and where microsoft was ahead with 360. Now its almost even, but it makes sense that they would put an fps game developes by former COD devs on xbone. Because the 360 was the choice platform for both COD and America...
They still effed up but it makes sense.
While i like the sex jokes, people really shouldnt feel bad about missing an exclusive. Thats why you buy other consoles... for exclusives. Play games not consoles.
Microsoft bought the exclusivity just as sony and nintendo do, its part of the competition to both buy exclusives and develop them.
They need a universal invite system like the 360 has. Otherwise, most of nintendo's games have had top notch lag free gameplay. Namco might be there to help with the online stuff.
Theres the ability for more gamepads, nintendo have just yet to make a game that supports it. I doubt they will until years later, when they van fully utilize the hardware because that's probably a very taxing task.
Lol i like how you left off the part that made you look condescending. Full def:
Fad: an intense and widely shared enthusiasm for something, esp. one that is short-lived and without basis in the object's qualities; a craze.
By your definition anything remotely successful is a fad... the 3ds earned its success is my point. The wii was a fad, 3ds is just a good system with good software
Id be surprised if it came to ps4 since valve is (sort of) in the console buisiness now too.
I agree the vita isnt a failure yet but the 3ds is a "fad"? What does that even mean? The system has achieved success through a steady stream of system sellers. Before that it was selling like shit, the 3ds is far from a fad.
People didnt buy the systems for different reasons, his point was the ps3 turned around from a rough start and the wii u could too if nintendo manages it properly.
If the last one is anything to go by there will be new gameplay concepts almost every level. I mean i dont know how you can look at DK dodging a giant wheel of cheese on a rocket propelled barrel and say the devs arent creative xD. Also theyve shown new ways to play the minecart levels and how the dynamic camera changes gameplay. Also the new characters.
I think this is about as much evolution you can expect from a platformer.
I fear they will get to thinking remote play will sell the system. I noticed Ready at Dawn, one of their big portable devs is making ps4 games now. It needs more games that are designed with portability in mind, stuff like wipeout and uncharted are good games but feel too console-y.
Yeah, but this has been in development for so long and was previously announced for the platform. Unlike most of ubisofts offerings on the platform this has the potential to not be a shoddy port.
I wonder if its still coming to wii u...?
Where did they say sony was doomed?
Tbh id rather have an expanded luigis mansion. Dark moon was good, but the level structure was all disjointed because it was made to be played in segments on a portable. The original is like this one sitting, no load times exploration heavy game and dark moon is pretty much structured like a platformer.
I like both but for a console i'd prefer 1.
It was in the top 10 for months, i think its at 1.6 million (on vgchartz)
Not really, most horror games are indies that are incredibly poorly made. Theres often little build up or suspense, just pop-up scares. Almost made with the intention of youtube facecam BS reaction LP'rs. The days of AAA horror games like sh2, fatal frame, etc seem gone to me.
Evil within looked good but looking at gameplay it doesnt look remotely scary, more like RE4. Still looks like a fun game though.
@Hicken
Theyre reporting now because its their FY.
@Underworld
That number was before christmas though wasnt it? Theyve been keeping UP with demand, thats why they have excess units. Both companies are doing good.
Ive heard this is a mistranslation for "targetting children isnt enough". Dear god i hope. There seems to be speculation about it now.
