This is about the removal of an advertised feature that was used to sell consoles.
4 class action lawsuits (!) on this issue certainly shows that significant numbers of consumers are feeling deceived enough to warrant the hassle and expense of a lawsuit against a major Conglomerate.

I looked at the ps3 shots in disbelief.
The disparity was readily apparent.
The 360 shots seemed so much more crisper and lifelike.
Occasionally I wondered if the developers had purposely gimped the ps3 version. Sadly, that doesn't seem to be the case as the developers had obviously been forced to reduce the ps3 resolution as well as reduce the polygon count to get it to perform on par with the 360.

The 360 has posted increased sales, while the ps3 has posted decreases.
However, the ps3 still sold 4 times as many consoles...
I guess, if we saw the ps3 decreasing in sales for a few weeks, months, then maybe we could draw some conclusions.
As it stands the ps3 is still riding the crest of the pricut and slim wave.
The next few months will be interesting... will the ps3 momentum continue...

The reason this is such a big deal, is because we have been told so very many times by the ps3 fanboys about how the ps3 was going to be the second coming of christ and how the 360 was holding it back, DVD problems, etc etc.
Now, in 2010, we have an astoundingly good AAA multiplat game in the form of rdr.
The game is huge and its awesome.
However, it simply looks better on the 360.
It was not held back by dvd, no...

I too, am sick of the double standards amongst our 'gaming community'.
We have evidence of over 100 multiplats that simply perform worse on the ps3, no question.
This gets blamed on anything but the possibility that the ps3 isn't quite all its cracked up to be.
Yet, when KZ2, UC2 and Gow3 are brought up, it is somehow heralded as unquestionable proof that the ps3 is untouchable.

The double standard amongst the ps3 camp is scarcely a secret anymore.
