@ outrageous
You make some very valid and logical points.
I have noticed that when people make such valid posts, the number of hardcore ps3 fans that disagree is simply a good indication that you are right on the money.
Don't ask me how that works - it just does!
;)
With regard to DVD capacity, RdR is a game that fits easily on one DVD and does not require a mandatory install (on the 360).
When it comes do...
Not sure where darkride66 is getting all that anti-ms stuff from.
I am guessing he just made it up?
The most recent MS financial report paints a very different story than the negative views Darkride66 presented above.
Let's consider the most recent financial report q3 2010, the quarter ended 31 march 2010.

no no no...
He meant "I doubt Natal can detect the trolls on n4g hating in every natal article as well as it can detect fluid body movement in this bowling game"
Then again.. the trolls are fairly obvious.
No need for a detection mechanism.
agreed echo.
Of course Natal is 'more' than ricochet.
Having said that, we haven't seen what this 'more' is exactly.
So, the people who are hyping natal are possibly equally at fault to the ones that are hating and trolling it, based on nothing that we have seen, yet.
@ echo
Thanks dude, for posting the facts.
PS3 fanboys sometimes forget what is real and what is fantasy.
+bubbles.
It's funny you know.
When Sony removed backwards compatibility, the vocal ps3 fans on n4g defended Sony's decision, remarking that no one wanted to play those old games anyway.
Yet, when remastered ps2 ports are mentioned, the same ps3 fans all of a sudden want to play those old games again.
Weird.
That's a good point, garos82.
It's entirely possible that the 360 could have stolen even more ps3 customers had it not been for the well known fear of rrod.
The question is, how do we quantify the lost sales due to the rrod?
In the end, releasing the 360 early, was a business gamble. That gamble cost $1bn in repairs and undoubtedly some lost sales.
Still, the decision has kept the ps3 in third place and the 360 is deemed a success by m...
Yeah so.. hm
ps3 down in Japan three weeks in a row.
It's still too early to say the momentum is falling, but hmmm....
makes me wonder.
3..2..1 disagrees and damage control inbound ...
@ sak500
Yeah, you are spot on, mate.
In years gone by, PS3 fans (trolls?) were telling us that the ps3 was going to beat the 360 by 2009, then it was 2010... then it was... etc
All the while, logical gamers were calculating the weekly sales numbers (and incorporating expected sales spikes) and projected that the ps3 might catch up by 2012!
Of course, such clear insight and logical analysis of the facts displeased the ps3 fans greatly...
Well pixel, that's precisely where you are wrong.
He's not an insider.
As an EX employee, he is by definition an outsider - probably bitter about it too.
But yeah, anything for a headline I guess.
agreed JOY
These haters are a plague on n4g.
In every single thread there has to be some ps3 fan who hates
It doesn't even matter what the topic is.. some angle will be found to hate on the 360, natal, whatever!
That said, I am expecting some more and new footage of Natal at E3.
@ FanboysWillHateMe
Dude, you are spot on!
For evidence of success of hardware peripherals that seem to defy logic, the plastic 'drumkits' and 'guitars' of Guitar Hero are a prime example.
I am a semi pro musician in real life and it simply amazes that these plastic gimmicks have sold so well, when in theory they are just junk.
You are most likely right on the money when you assert that consumers will pay good...
agreed.
I am thinking it needs to be added to the DSMIV classification of mental illnesses. At least on n4g...
@ blackmagic
Thankyou, dude, for putting the trolls in their place with the real facts.
At the end of the day, the trolls above cannot argue with real data and accurate numbers.
+bubbles.
I suspect a myriad of gamers will agree with you.
A 360 slim will sell like hotcakes.
I have said it before and i am forced to say it again, the 360+slim+natal sku will reinvigorate sales just like the ps3 slim release did back in its day.
The 360 is in its fifth year - it is time for a slim, imo.
Add to that the reduced cost of such an sku and we may also see a 360 pricedrop.
That is a hardcore incentive for savvy gamers, make no mistak...
That's a silly comment, Montrealien.
Red Dead Redemption is an astounding AAA game that seems to have been developed independently on each console.
It seems to look significantly better on the 360, judging by reputable analysis at various established and respected websites.
Why wouldn't developers want to take adantage of the proven and documented advantage of lead development on the 360?
Surely, if the ps3 is...
if you love marital aids, you're going to love 'move'.
;)
amen to that...
It's got to the point that any negative ps3 comment gets you debubbled by the fanatic ps3-defense-gestapo.
Heck, even a positive 360 comment gets you debubbled.
wait.... Just admitting you have a 360 and are enjoying its great games gets you debubbled.
Sad, N4g used to be fun.
We used to have gamers on here.
Now it's just ps3 trolls everywhere.
Makes me wonder why they aren't playing their ga...
yep, ninja gaiden.
I did finish the game, but it is immeasurably hard on the highest difficulty.
My xbox controller sustained damage, as did the wall!
