What all the ps3 fanboys are forgetting is that for the first three years the ps3 graphics in 98% of games were inferior, or exactly on par with the 360.
It is only in its fourth year that we have now seen a handful of games that are exemplary reasons for owning a ps3. IE.: KZ2, GOW, UC2. Maybe GT5. Apart from those, the ps3 has nothing that really interest me, truth be told. Four games? You got to be kidding me...
No matter, it looks like Sony will be forced...

No joke, there will be numerous incidents of ps3 owners trashing their new plasma tvs with their ps3-motes.

Not really my thing, I prefer to keep my expensive tv in working order, even if that means i can't be a rabid ps3 fanboy...
I wonder if it might be cost effective to include this type of cooling system in next gen consoles.
Certainly would cut down on fan noise and form factor, while not compromising the performance.

It's a sad day when this is being spun as a positive for Sony.
Fact is, the 360 launched first and has managed to keep the ps3 in third place as a result, probably for some time to come.
Honestly, after the success of the ps2, who was expecting this?
A similar thing happened with the ps2, which managed to gain additional marketshare as a result of launching over a year before the xbox1.

KZ2 has proven 150ms input lag (not including display lag!) yet ps3 fans love this game.
How come lag doesn't matter when it's KZ2, yet it does when it's kinect?

I think we can expect a new xbox to be announced sometime in 2012.
That's not to say the 360 will be suddenly unsupported.
On the contrary, I expect the 360 to generate the revenue to fund the next xbox in much the same way that the ps2 was forced to fund the $5 billion ps3 loss.
For its next console, my guess is, MS will integrate a much improved kinect-like peripheral with 60-120fps scanning, to overcome lag, and bluray capability, at higher read speeds....
