I think this looks pretty cool, doubt i would use it personally, but I'm sure loads of people will.
Not really like the Mii's though. As far as I know these aren't in game avatars are they? (correct me if i'm wrong, I cant watch the movies with bandwidth at work)
So I think that the comparison nintendo made between mii's and home were a bit misguided. Maybe it was similar to something they thought of but if they rejected it why bother telling the world about it?
...
An aspect IGN didnt like. But to be fair although the tunes were excellent some of the sound choices were dubious, like that strange sound in the nights on hyrule field that sounds like imitation singing. just sounds a bit stupid.
It makes sence to me that the soundtrack should change as you walk, run, move etc into different areas or situations through slight changes or introductions of transitions in the music. It's more interactive.
Is probably stating his real opinion, but you would have hoped that a dev working on a game like spore would be open minded, and realise that potential of a new interface allows creativity beyond just thinking in graphical and sound terms (actions of player).
If he has a problem with nintendo's attitude to 'serious art', then maybe he should challenge it by trying to spearhead and make some 'serious art' for the wii.
Weather he is one of the creative ones is unkn...
But I'm a bit more concerned about creative ideas, and how they use the controller..
however I am pretty sure this would be the april issue, I always used to fall for crap like this when i was a kid thanks to the gits at Nintendo Official Magazine.
I Probably went into the school playground and told all the Sega kids that it was another reason Nintendo rule.
Glad people have grown up now, and dont need to do that kinda thing anymore ;)
different dizzy games.
My name seems a bit redundent now. (well atleast it's not spelt the same)
It doesn't explore the possibility that the wii will get better, and doesn't seem very objectively written.
Infact although supposedly speculating about the wii's prospects, bar a photo of wii sports (which went unmentioned) it doesn't actually mention any wii title's existing or for release in the future.
Personally I think nintendo's direction was a great gamble, just needs devs (other than nintendo themselves who will no doubt get it right with first party tit...
I spent yesterday playing super metroid, kirby's dream course and pokemon red(on super gameboy).
but I it was impossible to be entertained or have fun because it wasnt upscaled to 1080p.
however i'm hoping that the wii will really get some great games (not just by nintendo) that show the capibilities of the motion sensing controller, which is more than a gimmik, doing an action closer to the real thing no matter how subtle is in no way a step backward.
I already know people who are gonna get their PS3 just becasue it is a PS3 and they have had good experiances with their previous PS's. I even pointed out to one guy that only really wants to play Pro Evo and GTA...
Rasulis is right with that list, and if dev's choose to develop killfests on the wii then I suppose the image that gets put on nintendo by many would be shaken off.
But why people who arn't kids are so concered about the concived image of a game though is hard to understand. I would have thought mature people would be able to appriciate and enjoy a good game.
I've never played one dragon quest game. think that i'll try this and the proper one thats comin to the ds. if this gets released here.
People who waste that kind of money, probably have some kind of obscene income.
I have ever been into an fps since, the same way i was into wolfenstein 3D.
maybe duke 3d and goldeneye.
a battery charger is probably cheaper. I just got one on ebay for under a tenner including postage.
guess thats the state of things today. A long way from two people in a room working on summin like snake rattle and roll. or a kid on his amiga making worms.
I remember the first time i played GTA 3. I didnt even have to do the missions. You can just run around and be a Sh*t to people. complete pick up and play but also has a point.
wasn't that the first one they released on the snes?. I dunno what the arcade version was like as i only ever played champ ed.. but i remember the snes one being ridiculously slow.
personally I would be up for hyper fighting or championship ed.
who knows what will happen. but there are probably tons of ps raised kids getting sick of waiting for their next console, while their mates are already spinning 360 and wiing all over the place.
Reminds me of the eternal wait I had for the n64 to come into existance, while they were choosing weather it was Ultra or not.
I will get it for the DS I think. I haven't played a Pokemon game since red, but have good memories of it.
regauding this.. Guess that sales of one can only help the other. I'm just wondering wether it is too risky to get some shares, shoulda got them before launch really though. =//
are on my list i think. I haven't played pokemon since red.
Escape from bug island! damn thats a stupid name, isnt it some kinda survival horror?
But Nintendo will hopefully say summin about f zero, starfox, this year.
