They should release it on August 6th or the 9th instead.
There have always been debates about graphics right back to people boasting about how their Amstrad had more availible colours than their friends commadore64 or zxspectrum. Not to mention the 'bit wars' in the 90s were also pretty intense.
Even the hype train existed around crap games like 'Rise of the Robots' God awful fighting game, but looked insanely cool in the magazines.
The game pad's also great for when you need to take a dump.
Agreed. If I could play Nintendo games on my PC, I wouldn't have got a Wii U.
It's not like the Wii where the gamepad is a vitally used control mechanism (although the off screen play has been a lot more useful than I ever thought it would be.)
The fact is I wanted to play this gens 3d Mario, and Zelda, so I was always going to have to buy one eventually.
It will be interesting to see what this is like if I get to play it (not sure I'll buy it in the near future).
I use a graphics tablet to draw on screen so it may be be a transferable skill?
'Ori is beautiful and looks like a good light-hearted game' - Yeah this one looks really interesting and the art style looks amazing.
It's cool they announced it for PC as I've not got an xbOne.
There was a great shortcut I managed to perfect on the rainbow road. If you jump and do a hard left after the start line you can jump the barrier and land on another bit of the track. Has to be bang on though.
Also the jump over the wall on Wario's track, but I'm pretty sure everyone knew that one.
had online play on the dreamcast!
was all i did when i was 15, got really good. pretty rubbish now though out of practice.
was a game that was only really started on the internet, after a guy called S*natch made a patch to allow for infinate repeat swings.
It was as much about looking stylish as winning to most.
Also Super Mario world.
if they win this one it'll be their first dominant format.
this is the kind of thing that needs to be released on wii to please nintendo's new aged demographic.
looks like a cop out for a computer game but if there were cartoony graphics or anything that over complicated chess then it wouldnt suit the market it's aimed at.
whats wrong with a board tho?
they're all from a different time and they never say anything.
rocks by default.. even if it were crap.
f zero myself. Hope they announce one for the wii.
But a remake of chrono trigger would rule too.. they never released either games in europe.
but I played it on gba not so long ago.
chances are not many devs would make a game for the balance board.. maybe if nintendo release a load of interesting games for it then it could get widely adopted.
extra peripherals rarely get loads of support though (cept guitar hero) .. part of the reason it was so important that the wii mote was standard in the first place.
Intel's Prediction/Speculation.
seem to be spawning everywhere.. since the lite anyway.. my mate tried to get one for his g/f this christmas and they are constantly sold out in the UK. He ordered one from France in the end.
probably worth it though. there's some good stuff on the DS.
I'm having fun with mine, but I suppose in my ideal world Nintendo would develop games and even controllers for PC as I'm always going to have a PC anyway. One can dream.
