imo its completely delusional to think this game wont be a next gen title at this point. multiplat seems logical too... it has to be the most expensive project squinex has made, i dont think they can get a return on exclusivity in this market but i could be wrong

I agree, New Vegas is just Fallout 3 with new features. New features such as:
1) Actual role playing
2) Deep gameplay
3) A story that makes sense

San Andreas is a masterpiece, but do the RPG elements REALLY add anything to the experience? Did the romance add anything to GTA4? I don't think they did at all. Rockstar challenging themselves with a new twist on their storytelling is a good thing and, from what is known, it sounds like it adds a lot of depth to the gameplay (something a gym or romance system does not).

Obsidian's track record is fine. They have extremely intelligent game designers working with them, many who've worked on some of the best games made in the 90s. The problem is, however, they're usually pressured into cutting content, limiting their vision, using properties they don't have control over, or releasing their games early. Project Eternity is a chance for them to have complete control over their development and they deserve a chance to shine.
