From Major Nelson's blog:
"On Tuesday May 21st, we’ll mark the beginning of a new generation of games, TV and entertainment."

So no, they won't focus only on games!

The best time would have been after ACIT. Everyone loved Ratchet and Clank then, and it was pretty relevant. However, people could take it as another animated movie which can be a great movie it they make it like the games.

The only thing that must be done is to market it right. They already have the teaser, so they should put it up in apple trailers, and spread the word

The Wii U instead of the Wii would have been great an revolutionary. When the DS first launched, I wanted a Console with a screen on the controller so that it was like it. However, after Apple launched the iPad and made every tech company release a tablet, the Wii U feels outdated. Not only in the graphics/tech department, but in the controller too. Having a resistive touch screen is unacceptable as of today's standard. A lot of people have iPhones, Galaxies, etc and even cheap knock offs...

I remember an interview with someone from Sony (sorry for being too vauge) who said that 3D is not their focus anymore. The question was why come any of the games announced for 2013 had 3D. The guy said that there were going to be TVs that won't have 3D, since they acknowledge that the 3D ship had sailed, and people only wanted it in cinemas.

If I find the link I'll post it.

It's different. With the 3DS you don't need glasses in the first place, but also, it is something that you focus on when playing. However, even Nintendo doesn't market it as the selling point of the 3DS anymore, so you have to wonder how many people actually play it with the 3D on.

It is very very odd that Sony would release Gran Turismo 6 for PS3 and then announce Drive Club for PS4. It would have made sense to be the other way around, although I don't even know why Drive Club exist.

If it gets announced, it will be interesting to see what Sony executives and PR guys say about that.

I get that arcade games were made like that so that you spent more quarters on them, but I don't think it was all true for consoles. However, there were difficult games because of the technical difficulties and limitation that they had back then, and not because it was design like that on purpose.

Indie developers are getting way more creative than big developers nowadays. Their games are really getting very impressive. Whether it is because of design, art-style, gamepla...

I love single player games with a great story. Actually, whenever I finish them once (sometimes twice) I play them again in easy just for the story. However, it's very nice to see a challenging game. I remember that I used to love Battletoads, and I finished all their games. I also loved Earthworth Jim, Megaman, Mac&Joe, and a lot more that were actually challenging. Even games like Aladdin and the Lion King for the SNES weren't as easy.

What happens with the indu...

If they don't say anything about Versus XIII at E3, everyone should boo them out of the stage. People need to do something like that, so that Square Enix finally understand that they are screwing with fans. They need to get publicly embarrassed so that they start getting their Sh1t together.

They did hint the Last of Us? How? When? Where?

I get what you're saying, however, it gets a time when you make a choice. Whether you choose to trade, sell or give away your PS3 to buy the new PS4 knowing that it doesn't have BC, or you choose to keep it and keep playing all the games you mentioned.

I know for a fact that I will still have my PS3 even after purchasing the PS4. I know some people can't make that choice, and would want to get some money from a trade to complete the payment for a PS4, but it'...

So I want to pay $400-$500 for a NEW system to play my OLD games instead of the console I already own (hence why I have old games) which even if I didn't it would cost me $200 or less. Yeah, that sounds logical.

I really don't understand why this obsession about backward compatibility. Old systems didn't have it. Nobody complained that the SNES couldn't play NES games, or that the N64 couldn't play SNES games. I used BC once with the PS3 only because I purch...

There's a lot of hype surrounding the PS4 and everything so far has been very positive. That being said, it still can go either way. When the PS Vita was announced it also had a lot of positive hype, even when they announced the price at E3. The reality so far is not as good.

They are different devices and hopefully Sony can get back costumers that had lost to the Xbox. Most importantly, hopefully they can gain developer support as they used to have. It will never be the sa...

Don't get surprised if they re reveal FFversusXIII now starring: Lighting!

4819d ago 6 agree0 disagreeView comment

I was thinking that too, but delicate situation might have to do with Wada not wanting to let go of Lighting and Final Fantasy XIII, so Nomura had to wait his turn. About multiplatform, my guess is that if the development has moved to next generation consoles, I don't see why it won't end up on the next Xbox too. It would be a really big surprise if its announced for the PS4 and stays exclusive.

There's obviously going to be the basic version with the console and controller only with the price that will appeal "in broader sense" and the premium version with a game or the PS eye and whatnot which will be more expensive but with more value.

It's a good game, but is really the worst of the series. A lot of important battles were just normal battles without the cinematic feeling (and QTEs). in UNS 2 almost every battle was epic! I wanted the fights with the jinjuriki to be epic, instead I got 6 at the same time and it was crowded and it was the same as fighting the white zetsus... meaning just a meh fight. ..

I hope they improve A LOT with the next one, because if they are going to make the next fights, which ...

Pc games may be years ahead of consoles. Too bad you don't get to play any good game since they are only released on consoles. . . So stop the BS, nobody cares if a PC is more powerful than god..

I loved 2008 Prince of Persia. The art style and the music were awesome. Too bad they ruined it with DLC ending which I heard it even ended with a cliffhanger. They could have improved upon that one a lot and have a masterpiece.
