Consoles are just going to launch. We are talking about cross-generation games (not even a real launch game), and people are demanding 1080p?
Get real, developers haven't had proper time with either console. If this was 2020 and still couldn't get 1080p, then by all means get upset. Since when a launch game is considered to make great technological accomplishments?
It's like people were demanding The Last of Us performance in Resistance Fall of ...
It might be the core of Nintendo, but recently they have abused of it. We used to get one Mario game each generation, and 1 or 2 at most each handheld generation. With the Wii, it was great to see a direct sequel for the first time, but it should have stopped there. Nintendo now is totally milking Mario, and even though they are not as big and don't have the same production value as Mario Galaxy 1&2, it still Mario and it does get tired.
They should have kept all the...
One thing is for sure: Developers/Publishers want money.
The ESRAM is definitely a bottleneck (that's what I got from Mark Cerny's speech about the PS4, referring about why they didn't go that route). Right now, developers still favor Microsoft because the 360 was the more successful in the US, just like how at the beginning of this generation (before launch), they still praised PlayStation because of the success of the PS2.
However, if PS4 sells...
Godchild, I thought the same! I love that every studio is working on PS4 games. We will definitely have great games for it coming soon.
BUT WHAT ABOUT THE VITA?!!! No one at Sony cares to make a PS Vita game anymore :( Well, I am one to blame too, since I only bought the PS Vita to use it with remote play on PS4. However, there are great games on the handheld, and it has a lot of potential. Gravity Rush is a great example on how to use every feature of the Vita perfectly.
The author has a great point: Journalists don't mind being in control of PR as long as they get their exclusive reviews, even if it goes against what they feel about the game.
Also, he has a great point too about people wanting to know what are they going to spend their money on. If the rumors of Xbox One not being ready for launch are true, it is the job of the journalist to report on such things. Obviously MS won't do it because that would be market suicide, but so...
Visually not going to happen any time soon, but the gameplay could be done. Too bad they don't actually do it. It would be awesome to have a first person view looking like that.
Sony delayed Motorstorm from PS3 launch to spring. This is the second time an Evolution game gets delayed from launch. Weird.
I am pretty sure that by E3 2015 we will see new PS4/Xbox SKU with at least 10TB.
On the Xbox is mandatory to install the entire game to be able to play it. On the PS4 I am not sure if the entire game or just some part of it like the PS3.
It's great that Guerrilla managed to get rid of all the logos when launching the game and put them on the final credits. Like they said, hopefully is something other developers follow, as it is something very convenient.
I genuinely don't understand this TV feature. You still have to have your cable box, so what's different? I know the Xbox puts a layout over the TV, but my TV already does that.
I am sorry, but for me it sounds absurd to use the Xbox for watching TV, when you have your tv for watching TV. It sounds redundant, like for example, your TV has netflix, your Xbox has netflix, your bluray player has netflix. At most you're just having a choice on which device you use it...
It includes the ability to be able to actually use the console. Really! You won't be able to do anything with it until you update.
They will wait until next generation because they love to be one generation behind
I don't only NEED one, but I can only AFFORD one. So, PS4 it is!
I hope it's implemented well, and it's supported as it should. I played LAIR using remote play on the PSP and it worked great. We all know that as long as Sony support the feature (which is supposed to be in every PS4 game), we will get great and tight controls for the Vita. The issue will come from third parties which will most likely rush (or shoehorn) button layout support for the Vita. Hell, I'm not even sure third parties will support the DS4 touchpad as it should, so expecti...
But this can be done while being somewhere else, not just at home like the Wii U. Granted, don't know if it will be supported at launch, but from what I have read, you can play at your house with your PS4, while a family member or friend can play on the Vita at another place/city, etc.
Sony confirmed remote play via internet, not just home network, but my guess is that with co-op it still applies.
And yet, the amazing part is that in a few years we will look back at Killzone: SF and say: Damn that game looks so outdated!
Let's just wait. Microsoft has been bragging about 1080p for a while when they just upscale it. Let's see first if it is going to be native 1080p. The PS4 might be very capable, but it's a launch game. Usually launch games are remembered as nothing special, specially technically.
Well, having to require online for initial setup defeats the purpose of having an offline console. If I don't have an internet connection, I would have been one of the people complaining about always on, obviously, right? So then MS tells me that I must have an internet connection to start using the system. So I won't be able to!
Now, I know a lot of people have internet connection (even if its very basic), but there are circumstances in which you just can't get o...
Zelda 3DS is awesome! I want to buy it!!
