Oh God, you know what?
I've decided that I'm happy the PSN store is down.
I've barely got €50 to my name and I'm struggling away at my exams (Nobody told me Biochem was this hard, isn't college supposed to be about going out? :P ).
I can't afford to be spending vast amounts of money on the games that are due to be released on PSN and shudder to think at what would happen to my revision habits if Outland and Gatling Gears are as good as they seem...

I can't wait!
Wonder who the guest characters will be?

Yup.
The article was interesting enough, right until the end. Plus, this has nothing to do with Sony.
A better title would have been: Microsoft's Massive Risk, or something similar.

Agreed on the community, a fair bit one-sided alright.
But, I have to say...
In the comments section it's expected. But with professional reviewers?
I think it's not bias on IGN's part though, and just different people reviewing different games.
I know that I'm almost unreasonably harsh on some games (Gran Turismo, or any other game I'm not good at, got frustrated at for no reason, etc.) while over-forgiving on others. (Final Fantasy- I alw...

Sony have made some big mistakes- the PSP Go being the biggest.
And why, oh why, did Microsoft turn down that deal with Sega? Also, why didn't somebody like Sony or Nintendo jump at it too? Presumably, they would have been offered it if Microsoft turned it down.
But the biggest mistake in gaming history was Nintendo's allowing Sony to launch the PS1, when the tech was all set for their consoles. Playstation brand pretty much destroyed the N64 and the Gamecube, and I do...

Exactly.
And even if Anon didn't actually do the attack, they certainly weakened Sony, who had to try to fight them off all the while being infiltrated by the unknown hackers.

The scariest game for me so far was Silent Hill: Origins on the PSP.
I started playing it in the middle of a stormy light, in bed, with the headphones on, and damn near had to change the bedsheets! :P
The way I played it made an average game into a great experience, in my opinion.
I'm downloading Amnesia now, but I won't start to play it until next week. (Doing exams now, really don't think video game all-nighters count as good prep.)
It should scar...

I preferred the World Cup game.
Players behaved more like the players do in real life- quick wingers were likely to beat the full-back, tougher players would enter into challenges where they don't look likely to win the ball, etc.
I think it's only because they had less to focus on- there are about 50 teams properly done, and the others are like the generic FIFA teams.
You know what I mean, there's no possible way they can design each player in League Two ...

Agreed.
Mirror's Edge just shades Uncharted as my favourite game this generation. Simply because it's so... different and fresh compared to every other game I've played.
And to do it in the first-person genre? Wow.
It showed me that the difference between PS2 and PS3 was more than graphics, and I loved it for it.

Sadly, you're way too late.
Although I have to say this article is pointless, mainly because Android is an open platform anyway.
Not to mention, the Android store itself has apps that enable the downloading of PS1 games to the phone.
They didn't care whether or not people used Linux on PS3. They cared about whether or not people could use it to pirate PS3 games.
But...
The biggest issue I have with this 'news?'
Sony Ericsson is n...

You can still update games now- I bought NBA 2K11 yesterday and it downloaded the patch when I put the disc in.

Never really bothered with betas before, but I can't wait for this. Only 3 online shooters ever really sucked me in- COD4, Uncharted 2 and Bioshock 2.
And the only one I still play (ok, when the PSN is back. :P) is Uncharted 2. Truly epic.

It sounds bad, but then again the Nintendo Wii?
Who believed that name until it was announced by Nintendo?

In my opinion, every time I see a game listed as a multiplayer game, only for there to be no split-screen in the game, I am disappointed.
Especially for games like first-person shooters and racing games.
They're tailor made for playing in the same room as your mates. No matter how how good your online connection is, there's nothing like being in the same place physically and REALLY taunting them. :P
If developers are too concerned about there not being enough p...

I want to see that released just so the tabloid writer's head will explode.

5375d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

What a stupid list.
Kinect is not a video game, nor was it released this year.
And if games like Homefront, Shift 2, and SOCOM4 were disappointing, I wonder what the writer would make of a genuinely bad game.
I haven't played WWE, but as it's in a list with Homefront, Shift, SOCOM and Kinect, I'll assume it's better than an average game.

As much as I'm sure you're right, I can't agree or disagree with you until I play the game.
Uncharted 2 took over from Uncharted as my favourite PS3 game, so my expectations are sky-high, but I'm trying my best to lower them. If only for the euphoric rush I get when I eventually play it and realise that Naughty Dog managed to shatter my expectations.
Again.
Because the alternative is me getting carried away, and expecting the PS4 on that disc.

I think it's EA's 'unlock everything' DLC which is the worst.
It's like a tax to play levels you ALREADY paid for! If genuine progression through the game is THAT unimportant, just stick an unlock all option in the options menu!

Game gave them away free with a pre-order.

5376d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

That's ridiculous!
I'd much rather buy loads of copies of Uncharted 2 than 1 limited edition! :P
