Probably not.
Uncharted demos didn't arrive after E3, but were closer to release.
At least for 2 & 3 anyways. I was still a PS2 gamer when Drake's Fortune came out.
Jim Sterling gave Escape Plan 4.5, Resistance 2, and Gravity Rush 6.5.
All of those were the games lowest scores.
Maybe he just doesn't like the Vita?
88% is a low score?!
I thought only my parents were that harsh!
That's an A!
I must say that the only one of the games mentioned as disappointing on that list which was actually disappointing to me was Dead Island.
I loved Uncharted: Golden Abyss and LA Noire.
I liked Modern Warfare 2 and Black Ops about as much as I expected to, I'm not the biggest fan of first person shooters, but they were enjoyable enough.
I do dislike seeing pre-rendered trailers though, they often have nothing to do with the game- best example being Dead Isla...
They probably ARE working on a new engine, designed for the next generation of consoles, not this one.
PS4, Xbox 3 etc.
That are available to print online...
It's a great read, near essential if your picking up the Vita on Day 1.
According to the replies on the EU Blog, yes.
Just has to be a full sized SIM, not the micro ones that some phones use.
Yeah- get the free game (if it comes with the top-up option) which is really a reduced price game and get out!
After all, it IS Wipeout, which is easily the best offer Vodafone have had in years.
Fair enough.
I'm in Ireland, and getting the 3G Vita.
Reckon I'll go with 3.
Their sims have all you can eat data if you go either with bill pay, or prepay and top up by €20 (which lasts for a month), at least in Ireland anyway.
Sigh...
Vodafone are NOT the sole provider of 3G for the Vita.
They are SCEE's marketing partner, but European Vita's are unlocked for ANY carrier's SIM, as been confirmed multiple times by SCEE.
It just has to be full sized (ie. not a micro SIM).
Spot on, although I'd somehow failed to notice it. Until now.
Skyrim could do with a few more threats though.
Perhaps even an inability to swim while wearing armour would be an improvement...
Groan at Escape Plan being mentioned as 'the only downloadable title only on this list.'
Leaving aside the shocking grammar, Motorstorm is also a 'download title only.'
Inaccuracies aside, a good, measured list. I agree with most of it, and it's a sign of how healthy the launch title line-up looks that it's not 100% agreement.
It's a pity Gravity Rush isn't likely to make it on launch day though.
No.
The God of War Origins Collection is a PS3 game.
PS3 games don't run on Vita unless a seperate Vita version is made.
Remote Play is a possibility, but as that requires the PS3 to be on and running, it's not exactly the Vita running the game, is it?
Oh, and while I agree GT was a good simulator, they forgot to add the game part I'm afraid.
It was like if they released GT5 with only a quick race mode.
God of War was explicitly mentioned as to why it wasn't included, and game franchises that are already coming to Vita were excluded (Resistance and Killzone have already been shown on PS Vita).
Gran Turismo was a disappointing racer, as it simply left out any sense of progression.
Loco Roco and Patapon might have a case though.
This is a great list, all really good games.
Perhaps Burnout Legends might have been a good addition though.
Wipeout is my most anticipated game, followed by Uncharted and Rayman.
Getting them all (plus Escape Plan) at launch.
Gravity Daze too, in the unlikely event I still have money. :P
LBP, Modnation, Motorstorm, Resistance, FIFA (ok, maybe the next FIFA), Marvel vs Capcom, Mortal Kombat...
So many to get between now and year's end!
What a launch. Blows away the PS3 and PS2 launch put together, never mind the 3DS!
Yup.
Naughty Dog have always gotten on well and even got help from other studios- didn't they even thank Bungie for helping them with the multiplayer code in Uncharted 2's credits? (If you don't believe go check it.)
That's because you can beat the single-player in less than 5 hours, on veteran.
(That is assuming it's the same length as MW2, and not shorter)
They forgot the BIGGEST shock by a mile:
Sega announcing that they had secretly shipped the Saturn to game stores and that would go on sale immediately despite not being expected for months...
It still flopped, because developers were so surprised that they didn't have games ready for it, and that the PS1 came out a few months later, $100 cheaper, with better games.
You just couldn't pull off a shock like SEGA did today, now that the internet is everyw...
