They can't, don't, and WON'T guarantee a flawless service, 24/7/365. Anyone who expects that, is plain ignorant...and obviously not a bill-paying, home-owning adult. I've been a subscriber to LIVE since December 2002, and this is the FIRST TIME such a long period of INTERMITTENT disruption has ever happened. They have been working to fix this, and will do so, but they owe NOBODY more than that. Fact is, this is only a partial disruption of the full service, and hasn't even affected all a...
Cable/internet is A LOT more than $50/yr. For 2-5 days of down time,MS would owe everyone a maximum a whopping .70, AT THE MOST. Would you like that in the form of a check, or a handful of pennies?

"Quick question, if you 360 owners have so many games for your console (and highest attachment rate) why do you waste your time here bragging about it and not playing it?"
I'm still playing on my day-1 launch console, have a gamerscore of 18,200+, and have played over 100 games on my 360. That being said, it's only healthy to take some time away and do other things....even if it's to put up with idiots like yourself ...
I said BIGGER, not BETTER. Just like Oblivion didn't sell well on the PS3, Fallout 3 will sell MUCH better for the PC/360. Most PS3 fans will see it as "just another shooter", and as an RPG, would rather play another FF sequel...or FF clone.
Of the 5 games, they list TWO multiplatform games, while completely ignoring Fable 2, Alan Wake, Fallout 3 (which will be FAR bigger for 360/PC than for PS3), and possibly Halo Wars, Gears 2, and Project Offset (which I believe will be a huge announcement for MS next year, as a first-party exclusive as publisher) .
Blue Dragon sold over 200k in Japan, and moved over 100k new consoles for MS...I doubt this game will top that.
What kind of no-life loser is worried about not being able to play on LIVE, on the birthday of our Savior....and also the mother of all days to spend time with family? Give them time, and any problems will be fixed...at the expense of the XBOX LIVE techs who are spending THEIR holiday catering to a bunch of worthless, spoiled brats.
...what a jackass. :o
1.) Neither MS...nor ANYBODY... has ever stated anywhere NEAR 11 million LIVE subscribers. 7 million was the last figure announced, and that is OFFICIAL, from their financial report.
2.) Yes, everyone knows about the "free" PSN. Public transportation is ALSO free...but I'd much rather pay the insurance on my car, and buy my own gas, rather than be forced to ride with a bunch of smelly losers FOR FREE.
...except for that whole "still no damage" thing. Truly lame. :o
...so I'd hope Sony learned their lesson from that. I don't expect this to be any such venture.
...you might get splinters in your ass, riding that fence. ;)
...but the PS3 will only account for about 2 million of that. :o
I'd MUCH rather have a functioning Portal gun. ;)
I am indeed stating my opinion...obviously several million Halo fanboys would call me an idiot. :p To be honest, I've enjoyed R6:V MUCH more than any Halo game...particularly online. The strategy and cover system is even far superior to Gears...and I enjoyed Gears, in the beginning. R6:V just nailed so many things, from map design, to cover-based combat, to level-up gameplay (copied by COD4 and Halo 3), to huge replay value from the varied types of gameplay. CO-OP Terrorist Hunt is still...
Nintendo isn't deserving of the insane profits they've reaped from raping unsuspecting gamers with overpriced 10 y.o. tech, and a "new" controller. Most of the titles look like N64 games...or worse...and few utilize the Wii-wand in any useful, innovative manner. Why? Because Nintendo is notoriously the absolute worst hardware company, when it comes to dev tools/support...unless it's first-party. Ultimately, the Wii will suffer the same fate as the GC, but with slightly better sa...
your last statements are contradicting.
...it's painfully obvious that you simply lack reading comprehension skills. The guy was more frustrated with the final product, but ultimately praised MS, above all else. :o
...and haven't touched it since. Only hardcore Halo fans could really enjoy playing much Halo 3 online...it's EXTREMELY boring, just like Halo 2.
However, since I'd played the Stranglehold demo long before Halo 3 launched, I still new it was garbage, and not even worth a rent. THAT is why Stranglehold failed...they should have NEVER released that demo. :o
...'cause they've got a lot of cold leftovers. :D
...but something that can be accomplished with a 5 second Google search, IS NOT "research". Besides, nothing in that T&C applies to this. :o
*EDIT Oh...so you found out by "research", what I'd already stated in my post at #17, using COMMON SENSE. ;)
