...and it would be the sh1ttiest version of the 3 consoles, by far. Spider-man 3 for the Wii, anyone? :o

...why Nintendo SUCKS. F#ck you, Iwata and Miyamoto. :o

...you'd realize that was IMPOSSIBLE. The 360 came out a FULL YEAR before any Blu-Ray OR HD-DVD drives were on the market. The 360 was in full production and ready to ship long before ANY HD players were in production. Like I said in the first post, MS made the right decision.

Consumers didn't "demand" HD-DVD or Blu-Ray PERIOD...but Sony was the one who forced the issue. If someone REALLY wants a Blu-Ray player, I'm sure they'll buy a standalone or a PS3...but MS would be foolish to fall into that trap. By the time this format war is OFFICIALLY over, MS will have announced their next console, and will no doubt have a new, non-DVD9 solution locked up for their software distribution. Meanwhile, Sony is married to Blu-Ray for however long they ride the ...

I tried to explain by PM that there was no way I was a troll (not that any LOGICAL person would consider my post as "trolling" anyway), and was in fact an avid 360 fan. I even gave him my LIVE gamertag to check out my games and gamerscore. He replied with more insane "#@*$%! you troll" bullsh1t, rather than accept the obvious facts. He's really not worth a second thought, or even the trouble of putting on ignore. :o

...because it's been a widespread problem for a long time, and got a LOT worse when LIVE started having issues. I've been at rank 55 since mid-November (no "Prestige" BS for me, thanks), and have logged well over 80 hours with it online.

...as the 360 version has experienced the same issues, since launch. I find it annoying that IW has ignored these problems for so long, and has even allowed MS to take 100% of the heat for problems playing on LIVE the past 2 weeks. They had the exact same problems with COD2, and finally fixed them after about 6 weeks ; I guess they didn't learn their lesson from that.

And I said the same thing, almost verbatim, in previous posts concerning this issue....go check them yourself.

This is just ONE GAME. The PS3 has seen a 3-6 month delay on just about every major release, thus far...even on multiplatform games ; a full YEAR on Oblivion and Lost Planet. THAT is what prompts the "This is Waiting" comments.

What software giant has a stranglehold on the PC industry, including it's games? That's right...MICROSOFT. Any 360 game that is simul-dev'd for the PC, or is eventually ported to PC, is STILL a CONSOLE EXCLUSIVE. You won't be seeing games like Gears, Fable 2, Too Human, Alan Wake, Project Offset, or Bioshock on the PS3...and CERTAINLY not the Wii.
Besides, if you follow the reviews of such games, you'd know that 99% of the time, the 360 version is better anyway, as it's not subjec...

PSP games don't count...unless you also think Nintendo's Gamecube discs qualified as a "format". Anybody with half a brain would understand I was referring to UMD as a Universal Media format having failed.

It was a f*cking temporary, PARTIAL DISRUPTION of the service....a service that has been going strong, without ANY such problems, for over 5 years. When Sony has had a viable online service for that period, I GUARANTEE they will have had their problems.

"And just because your graphics card supports DX10 or DX9 doesn't mean it can run Crysis. Running Crysis requires so much more than that. Dual SLI, Dual to Quad Core processors, four gigs worth of ram, etc"

That is a bit overblown, but still fairly accurate; if you want to play Crysis in all it's glory, you're gonna be out about $1500 minimum. And, that is PRECISELY why EA will likely demand AT LEAST a 360 port ; the game won't sell as much on PC as it could on conso...

Since Crysis was a Games for Windows game, it's already coded to work with the 360 controller (though with a few minor issues). All they have to do is modify it to run at a steady 30-60 fps, look as good as PC on medium settings (which still looks awesome on my PC), and it would actually be better than the average PC experience.

For those who love the service, and understand that downtime is to be expected, this is no big deal. I've got $250 invested in LIVE so far, and MS would only owe me about $2 in total "loss of service", if they were to refund me for the past 5 years. I blow more than that, tipping the f*cking pizza delivery guy...keep your $2, MS. :o
