@Demetrius, I agree. PS4 can pump out some impressive looking games, so it's not a bad thing. I think they should hold off Metroid Prime 4 as a launch title. I'm also waiting for Tears of the Kingdom to have better draw distance & consistent framerate.
Stylized games that aren't texture heavily would especially look good and could maybe hit 60fps in some instances.
If it's portable, it'll be pretty amazing at PS4 level.

16bit and below is very niche? I'd say more than half of N4G community is in their 30s-40s+. We grew up on these games, they're hardly niche. The bigger issue is that there just isn't enough. There's too much missing, including licensed titles, for me to even consider subbing to this.
I think out of any Sony game going PC, this one made the most sense. The community literally thrives on the amount of people willing to invest huge amounts of time to make incredible creations... so why not open the pool to the largest amount of people?

Yep! Multiplayer was the biggest thing missing for me. I play Rec Room regularly with my nephew, we have a ton of nonsensical fun, but my thought when I'm there is always "Man, creations are so much cooler in Dreams. I want THIS experience in Dreams."
That was my thought and hope too. Dreams was truly special and a concept that shouldn't be thrown in the garbage bin of gaming history. It deserves a followup that evolves it in every way!
Yea, I think any real hardcore Dreams fan will openly admit Sony fumbled this game bad. The game itself was amazing and could have blown up as big as Rec Room or Roblox if they had added multiplayer. It just never received the push it deserved from Sony. Media Molecule on the otherhand did do an admirable job cultivating the community with jam sessions and things like the Impy Awards, yearly Halloween haunted houses.
Man, I'm going to miss those things and can only hope...
I feel like this should have been done in the beginning, to give incentive for more creators to jump into Dreams. Shouldn't have been now, as it's on its last leg.
It really makes no sense to kill this game off right after the PSVR2 came out. It's amazing being able to easily create your own VR games and play others'.

Yea, really considering playing It Takes Two with my wife. She doesn't game THAT much, occasionally, but as having been married for over 10 years, I think the story will resonate well with us about the power of teamwork and the fight for each other no matter what.
....good god, I may just break her if we play The Last Day of June after that. 😬
I'm a bit OCD and enjoy repetitive tasks, which I guess is why I enjoy random encounters in turn based rpgs also. I can understand it not being everyone's cup of tea, but I really enjoy the dungeon crawler genre.

I love Snow Runner. It's not for everybody, but it's so satisfying to pull off difficult runs using your brain more than quick reflexes. At least everyone can try it out now, and may find themselves really enjoying.
I truly believe Kojima inspired a bit from the Mudrunner/Spintires formula on Death Stranding, of hyper realistic physic navigation across difficult terrain, carrying and balancing load weights, then he built an entire fantasy experience around that idea...
