Oh man, I deal with enough screaming kids at home. I'm willing to let this one go. 😂
Yea Hawaii is an underutilized region in gaming for sure! I hope they open up more islands in the future.
@FallenAngel1984 lol, yea I'm not going to dive into a semantics debate. enjoy the game, I'll catch up with it later. cheers, mate.
I'm actually really excited for this, as I spent just short of a year on Oahu for a work contract back in 2009. This looks really nice and brings back warm feelings.
@0:53 looks like it took some artistic liberties and used Maui's Haleakala crater as inspiration. (which feels weird, bc it's such a protected, sacred area!) Western Oahu doesn't look like that, but it's cool to bring a bit more variety to this overworld.
@Abnor_Mal
That's true, i just remember feeling the game was actually controllable once I switched to Aim, so was fine to stick w rifles and shotguns.
Yea the controls really were the worst part of this and could be really fun to play a remaster of this on PSVR2 w that fixed. The game itself was great w its Duke Nukem' style humor, as long as you embrace the purposeful campiness. I'm sure part 2 will control great, as it's been many years...
Yea i thought it controlled horribly w the moves, and even a Dualshock.... but the Aim turned this game into a blast!
If I can't control the party, it's not for me. I actually really like how FF7 Remake handled combat, being able to choose to straight up action it, or slow down time for more strategic party control...regardless of how I felt about them bloating the story.
If this satisfies your jrpg itch, then cool, have at it! The story experience looks amazing though, which is why I'll probably pick it up Black Friday.
While it seems really cool and people seem to really be enjoying it, I'm in the mood for a real jrpg right now, not an action game.
This is the first mainline Final Fantasy game I didn't pick up at launch since the original FF7 on PS1.
I'll certainly get it eventually, just not in the mood for this right now. Personal taste.
(((⏰))) 🤣
"Wake up, ca**lho!" --Spoken like a true Brazilian! I laughed hard 😂😂😂
These are the ones that weren't even good enough for Gamepass. O.o
Spencer is the parasitic, bloodsucking tick trying to drain the industry. Bobby is his Co-tick.
*edit - oh man, I apologize. My dad jokes are getting worse and worse. XD
I actually never played Crusader of Centy/Soleil, but it looks amazing. I was hesitant about Nintendo adding Genesis/MegaDrive games to Nintendo Switch Online, bc I had the feeling it would be just rehashes of previous Sega compilations. But, I'm very happy to see them adding some unexpected gems like this.
Doh, I only briefly tried out Stray, which was a cool experience. I hear it's incredibly short, so I'm definitely going to jump back in and finish it off and maybe go for the Platinum.
Glad you enjoyed! Loved this game, and always felt it wasn't appreciated/talked about enough. Capcom did an admirable job handling the Zelda franchise w due respect. Loved the shrinking mechanic. :)
"I'm sure..." is a presumptive statement. My point is here is the definitive proof of Microsoft's motive. We can presume all we want left and right, but here is their definitive goal in their own words.
"...we (Microsoft) are in a very unique position to be able to go spend Sony out of business." - Matt Booty
That is pretty damning. Their intentions are pretty clear here, and run contrary to all of the niceties they try to convey to the general public about being better for gamers, working together with Sony etc etc. Ouch.
If articles like this keep getting approved, I'm afraid N4G will die in the dumbest way possible.
Literally the worst Rollercoaster Tycoon game ever made. Planet Coaster has stolen the throne of theme park simulation, considering it was the spiritual successor to Frontier's Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 anyways. Atari drove the Tycoon name into the ground!
**edit worst Rollercoaster Tycoon game if you don't count the abysmal VR game! Ugh, it was so bad. (No Limits 2 wins the award for theme park creation in VR!)
No, it doesn't even have to be turn based. I love Tales games even. Just JRPG elements like switching between characters, buffing, finding enemy elemental weaknesses etc.

Back in the 90's we would have called this an action rpg, as it distinguishes the playstyle. I was recently playing through Secret of Evermore again on SNES, and while I love it, it was considered more action oriented:
