...use a DLC model? I mean, they don't distribute pirate UMDs :)
I think the big push to stopping piracy on the PSP will be when they really push features like you have on the PSP with trophies and friends lists, etc. Basically anything that will want you to connect your PSP on-line.
Can they detect when a modded PSP connects to PSN or for playing multiplayer games such as Resistance Retribution?
By the way, I have a PSP-3000 and don't support softwa...
...be able to buy lots more PSP games off of PSN. I love the faster load times, the extra battery life that playing off the memory card brings.
They need to start releasing the platinum collection on PSN but at a lower cost than retail. For instance, on PSN "Daxter" is $34.95 NZD. I can walk into my local gaming store and get it for as low as $19.95 NZD. I also get something tangible I can trade or sell!
Price DLC right and it will sell!!!! Bring on L...
...for this game. Graphics are nice but the gameplay is not something I could see myself coming back to. My kids enjoyed it so if its priced right I may get it for them.
...want digital downloading to succeed for their platforms yet they seem to charge more than you'd expect for it.
It really makes a joke out of the hole DD thing when buying it on new on physical media is sometimes cheaper!
In New Zealand that may translate to $15 for two maps!
Exchange rates have little to do with PSN pricing so I hope they release it here for $10 or less otherwise it will be hard to justify in my household.
2 weeks ago was hating it as every second player was a sniper or used a rocket launcher. But good sense is prevailing as more and more players recognise that to win you need to at least look as though you know what teamplay means.
Teams that are heavy on snipers seldom win as they just sit back and wait for things to happen.
I like the new ranks but I would love to see a demotions as well. Play like crap and get punished for it after you reach a certain rank. ...
...a terrible movie. That whole arching the bullet around a target...MFT dribble.
MFT = Made for Teen.
I have been converting all my DVDs to DivX for playback on my PS3. I also have DivX enable DVD players throughout the house. Nothing like having a single file format that works on everything.
Sick of having all these formats for the different devices. Give me Divx!!!
...they are close to passing law where the ISP can disconnect your broadband if they suspect you of downloading copyright material illegally. If you are disconnected its up to you to prove your innocence and not for the ISP to prove you guilt.
What would all these doom sayers do without the PS3. Obviously they are not playing their 360 so maybe they would divert their attention to the Wii.
Sick of this crap and I wish we could filter the postings on this site by age as most of those who probably get off on these types of stories are too young to vote.
...but it was too comical for my liking and the whole taking pics thing was not for me either.
The game did not give me an impending feeling of dread and doom which any good zombie game or movie should.
...was great.
1942 was not.
Basically capcom has done very little but take last gen gameplay and give it a next gen coat of paint.
...because it cuts out the middle man and destroys the second hand retail market.
All games in the future will be available for purchase via digital downloading (DD) just like music is today. Apple software sales don't seem to be suffering and as more and more people jump onto the DD bandwagon it will only become more and more popular.
However for DD to really shine in my opinion:
1. Make sure that DD is cheaper than buying the physical media copy.
2. ...
...that you also pay more for the (inferior) console versions of the game also.
...find 32 good people to play a round of Killzone 2 on-line. Where in hell are you going to get 256 without it turning into a spawn killing fest where run and gun is the name of the game.
I play in the AUS region on Killzone 2 and more and more its just become a case of one team pushing the other team back into a corner and trying to spawn kill regardless of the objectives. Fun for a whole 30 seconds before people start to quit. What happened to good multiplayer team play?
...but Flower made great use of the SIXAXIS. So does High Velocity Bowling. Oh yes, the use of it in Killzone 2 is a nice touch.
...I really can't see myself playing it for much longer. Why?
1. Snipers. What were they thinking giving snipers invisibility. Why didn't they make sniping hard to deter most of the muppets who like to snipe because its easy. To be shot from one side of the map by someone who is invisible is just plain crap, especially when every second player on the opposing team is a sniper.
2. Rocket Launcher / Grenade Launcher.
More lame ass weapons that require no ski...
...but rather:
1. Remove all the trophies associated with the PSN.
2. Flag the PSN so that all others can see if the PSN is used to "cheat".
3. Have a setting along the lines of "Don't allow known cheats to join" for multiplayer games.
4. Flagged PSN id cannot host a game, even if its just amongst other flagged PSN players.
...but I have downloaded a couple of games off PSN and used it on all 3 PSPs in my household. All 3 PSPs are registered on my PS3 however so I'm not sure if that has something to do with it.
