...nor do I wish to be at this stage.

See, what amazes me is that I actually posted a comment as to why I (I repeat "I") don't find home any use and people hit disagree because they think I'm putting HOME down. For me personally I did not get anything out of it other than to walk around a virtual shopping mall.

By the way, if HOME is full of people who instantly denounce others who can't see the value in it as yet then why would I want to ever go back. Wh...

...the race between the PS3 and 360 is cut throat but it does not even start to compare to the race for hardware supremacy between ATI and NVidia.

If it were not for their low end chip sets ending up in laptops and low spec PCs these companies would soon run out of money for R&D.

I simply found no use for it.

- If I want a good game of 10 pin bowling I'll play on-line against others in High Velocity Bowling.

- If I want to meet gamers who play Resistance 2...then I'll play Resistance 2.

- If I want to watch the latest game trailers I do so on-line from my PC.

Yes, I can see HOME being great for lots of people but even with EA producing a real slick space in HOME I can't see myself going back to it unless it really en...

...and I simply cannot see what people see in it. Its like Eye Toy or Buzz on the PS2/PS3. Fun for 5 minutes but no lasting appeal or depth. For instance, my kids and their friends (eldest is 10) play EyeToy and Buzz for about 30 minutes before they tire of it and they want something a bit more challenging. One family we know owns a Wii but does not have the money to go out and buy a new game for it every week so it sits there gathering dust most of the time. To me most of the games on t...

...during Resistance 2 (R2). It made me feel more immersed in the game as though you were the story and not a spectator of it.

I loved the cliff hanger ending in R2 which opens the door to for almost anything to happen in R3.

...try releasing some of the crap they release on the Wii on the 360 or PS3 and they games would tank. I want to see stats on who is buying the Wii and how often they are playing it and what they're playing.

I have only seen a couple of games on the Wii that would warrant my time.

However, has Nintendo secured these gamers for the Wii-2. That is, as the current Wii owners mature as gamers, will the Wii-2 naturally meet their expectations rather than them looking ...

I have a 500gig HDD hooked up to the PS3 full of movies and TV shows. I then stream them wirelessly to my PSP-3002 which is hooked up to a TV in another room.

However, suggested Improvements:
1. Allow more than 1 PSP to connect wirelessly when streaming back media other than games. Be nice to have the PS3 becoming a true media server and wirelessly streaming different content to different TVs throughout the house like you can with other media servers.

2. Al...

...can really do great particle effects. I mean, if there's a fire in a tunnel it would fill with smoke pretty quickly. The smoke coming from the fires in that sequence is pretty naff.

Not sure what to make of the game - look/plays like the incredible hulk but without a big green guy running around.

...multiplayer for free to distinguish itself from Xbox Live. To suggest that HOME subsidizes PSN on-line multiplayer is an assumption. Basically you're saying that if HOME fails that Sony will start charging for on-line play. I doubt they'd do that with the current PS3 install.

To be honest I'd rather pay a small yearly fee for on-line play than buy virtual furniture and clothing that can only be used in HOME. To make such purchases viable for me personally, Sony would need ...

New Zealand has a digital Freeview service compatible with PlayTV so when are we getting it!!!!

PlayTV for me will turn the PS3 into an absolute powerhouse multimedia centre.

Who is buying all this crap???

I could never understand why people will hand over good money for well, nothing. Good for Sony for cashing on on other peoples stupidity.

...is that many state its not about the graphics and yet whenever a multiplatform is released so many shoot one of the versions down for having inferior visuals. If the gameplay is identical then does it really matter if there are more ripples in the water or leaves on the trees in one of the versions? Well, yes - but only to those who need to get a life.

For me graphics play a big part in how much I enjoy a game. No, I don't mean a game has to have ultra realistic textures,...

...what can be said to try and tarnish the PS3 after the announcement of year end growth of 60% and the soon to be released Killzone 2.

Hell, who cares. I love my PS3 and LittleBigPlanet has provided more hours of family fun than any other game I or my kids have played. Killzone 2 looks set to set a new standard just as Gears of War did a couple of years ago. For those who continue to diss because they don't own a PS3, I say to them get a life.

...then it would be a new experience now wouldn't it. Hell, with so many Wiis being sold a month there are probably millions of Wii owners who have not played it at all.

I am fine with the Wii getting this as long as its designed to exploit the Wii for what it is and not make those playing it long for a more powerful console.

...I have not experienced any of the issues like those in the videos that have been posted on youtube. I have converted Wall-E across from DVD and it looked fantastic all the way through. I also play heaps of Super Stardust Portable and I still don't notice any problems.

Have also played Burnout, Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops, Capcom Classic Collection, Lego Batman and still have experienced any of the issues. If I were you I'd go into the store and ask for a demo and see it f...

...Even I can appreciate Sony needs to slip into high-gear with the PSP store to make it more attractive to the casual gamer. If nothing else they need to start releasing PSOne games like there is no tomorrow. They also need to revamp the web browser to make it more functional. Oh yes, a graphic equaliser for music playback wouldn't go a miss either.

...and love it. My two boys already had PSPs so I'm no stranger to them but the new screen is so much brighter and features much improved colours.

However, I have said it before and I'll say it again remote play with the PS3 is the real winning ticket for me and I simply can't wait for them to release PlayTV in my part of the world.
