What rocket science is your theory based on?
I swear, Nintendo gaming is definitely a mixed bag. It offers some of the best exclusives but a majority of the shovelware.
Nintendo will have great games on offer but really, I wish someone from Apple would help them with their design. Nintendo fans will love it but there is nothing inspired about its design.
Everything looks great in that video just get rid of the flags. They flap around like its a windy day yet nothing else is reacting to the wind.
Looks good, albeit quite linear. I'll bet you could play the game 3 times and it play exactly the same each time. Wonder when someone will create an FPS wit a more organic flow to it all.
Anyway, big decision for me is whether I get it for the PC or PS3. I'm guessing the PC version will be the best but my GFX card may not be up to it.
I went through 2 - the first I got replaced thanks to MS extending their warranty, the second I didn't bother replacing. The original 360 was an abomination and MS should never have been allowed to get away with it. I simply can't understand why some will go through 6 or more consoles! If your TV packed in two times in a row most would buy a different brand the third time.
Obviously the slim has rectified the situation but after buying an external Wi-Fi for my orig...
Was watching some kids play this game and can see why its popular. Its a visual feast, great music and looks like fun.
I thought the demo looked great...until my son, who is a PC gamer, showed me the game running on his PC (ATI Radeon 5770). Even though the PS3 version looks good the differences are still like night and day.
Basically, if you want the best experience play this on the PC if you can. If you can't then the PS3 version is by no means a bad choice.
To make this more a racing simulator for me I would have like to have seen timed laps to determine where you start on the grid. Seems silly that for the A-spec events you always start at position 7.
What I find funny is that the PC version craps all over the console versions. I am not a PC gamer but my son is, he showed me ME2 running on his PC and it made me laugh. Console owners are fighting over who has the best table scraps when it comes to multiplatform games.
By the way, he was running the game on an ATI5770 which is I understand only a mid range card.
This is definitely not a case of you get what you pay for. I avoided getting the game because I knew Activision could not give a damn about the gamer on this one. Not like the good old days.
Remote Play heads up a list of disappointing features that were never exploited on the PSP. Its almost absolutely pointless.
I don't know if thats a good or bad thing. Obviously MS wants Wii owners to head over to their console so I guess Kinect is a way of achieving that. As for all the Xbox owners who help put the 360 on the map I'm not sure this is good or bad news for them.
I sure as hell would not be happy if Sony came out and said its all about Move in 2011.
Didn't live up to the hype according to who? someone who actually played it for more than 10 hours or someone who just basis the opinions on those who played it long enough to get a review out.
If you don't play it then do us all a favor and keep your opinion to yourself.
You may be right about shipped versus sales, but what's the real reason you posted that comment?
Was it just another dig at a game you have no plans on playing?
I love GT5. Initially I picked holes in some of the visuals but for every visual flaw there is something that makes me go wow. The attention to detail is friggin incredible at times.
However, the icing on the cake is definitely the gameplay. OMG I have not enjoyed a racing game this much in years. My only pet hate with the game is the Lotus Elise...f**k me they need to add some weight to the back as it feels like your driving on ice!
The hamsta is brilliant! honestly, LBP is a franchise that defines family gaming.
On a side note - the sackboy game that was released a couple of weeks ago on PSN that used move was also brilliant. I had not thought about using Move in that way and it worked really well.
Don't care how they compare as I thought the demo was pretty solid. Although it was not a huge leap in terms of visuals over its predecessor you could see where the improvements had been made. Lets face it, the first one looked damn good anyway.
Given some of the games being released in the near term I really can't see myself picking this up though. Not initially...damn, I'm broke already and its not even 2011 yet!
I wonder what the odds are they will release an endless mode for DN like they did with super star dust...that would be brilliant!
DN is brilliant...but be warned, it get's hard (real hard!) if you go it alone.
@Best.
F**k off and leave gaming to those whose knuckles don't bleed when they walk.
