...at least a solid 30fps and never dip below, then I am buying. I'm sick of all the so called next gen games with the same last gen frame rate issues!
...Was it just me or did the environment seem really stale and lifeless. I know there is much polish to be done but DIRT looks better at the moment.
...in that someone can disagree with you because you link to another article that tells a different story. Wonder if it was a PS3 owner.
...try clicking on the links and see where they take you. The first one actually takes you to the site where both 360 and PS3 images can be viewed.
...fans show how big you are and leave this forum to Xbox 360 owners only. We all know the 360 has not been without problems so we don't need any of you chiming in with your flamebait.
Give it a rest mate. Gears of War (GOW) was a solid looking game but the single player campaign was pretty average. Resident Evil 4 offered a better gaming experience than Gears of War. At least RE4 lasted longer than GOW, could not believe I got through GOW in a weekend (playing for about 11 hours). They tried increasing the games length by throwing in that nonsense about finding all the hidden objects (i.e. if you see a GOW logo on a wall or something then the object is near by). That ...
When did we all lose sight about it being about games and having fun and it becoming a spiteful argument over my toy is better than yours.
I have a 360 and will get a PS3 when its more cost effective - may even pick up a Wii for the kids...maybe. I would never buy the 360 add on for HD-DVD playback just like I am different about using the PS3 for Blu-Ray playback. One thing is for sure, when an HD format does prevail I will be buying a dedicated player to slot into my home en...
...What would you find beneath the fingernail fragments, scratchmarks and blood on the bottom of the barrel.
And I thought Manhunt 2 was sinking to new lows of gaming...
The MGS franchise never appealed to me. Bunch of cut scenes linked together with a little gameplay. Very much a rental only title. This is definitely one game that could have stayed a PS exclusive in my opinion.
@boi - really? and I thought they were making the game exclusively for me.
@scotti2521 - I care because I would rather see Konami develop some new and exciting titles for the 360 and not churn out another edition of an aging franchise. And as for you...
...games that sensationalise death or crime need to be looked at closely. Whats next? how many woman can you rape in a game? How many kids can you mollest? When will the first Wii game be released that turns the Wiimote into a Wii-penis to use on your victims in the game...such games add nothing of value and therefor should not be released.
Take Two don't half set themselves up to be the scapegoat for some future mad gunman or murderer.
...why would Nintendo who has pushed the Wii as a casual gaming paradise even approve such a game for the Wii? How many parents will now be rethinking the purchase of the Wii for their kids knowing that its now getting hardcore games (i.e. Resident Evil 4, Manhunt 2).
As for banning this game - good job and I dare say the UK won't be the last. This type of game is not warranted. What Take Two need to be extremely cautious of now is people will be really aware of the types of...
The Wii is aimed at the casual gamer. RE4 is not. If you are into RE4 chances are you already have it on your GameCube or PS2 and this release offers nothing substantial over those versions.
Nintendo must be trying to spur software sales for the Wii I guess.
I own a 360 and would like to know what conditions result in a higher failure rate. We all know overheating seems to be the problem but what is more likely to push your 360 over the edge?
...then it must be a bargain LOL.
I will be interested to see how much - to me a bargain would be a $500 (NZD) Blu-Ray player, however how many bells and whilstles would such a player lack?
I purchased my Sony DVD player in 2000 and it still has more features than most of the players released today. Sure, it cost me $1000 (NZD) but it was worth it. At this point though, a top of the line Blu-Ray player in NZ is over $2000 (NZD), too rich for my blood.

...when you follow the link from this post. They are terrible - look like widescreen VCD.
What I will also say is that the game will probably look damned impressive when it sustains its maximum frame rate however, it probably won't. If this game does not maintain at least 30fps throughout then what should we make of the cell and the PS3 after so many months of Sony fans claiming this thing was going to show how superior the PS3 is over the 360?
If I had to be t...
- Why do manufacturers offer two HD formats? because they can.
- Why does the PS3 cost so much? because Sony thought it could get away with it.
- Why don't all the 360 owners get together to make a stand? because those who have experienced the problems are still very much the minority.
Manufacturers will continue to use bullsh*t to make a sale or try to save face. Sony is no different from MS in that regard. I for one am sick and tired of the red ring of death...
...but only if you can take it in and get a replacement immediately. What if you have to send it in via the post? How many can Sony exchange in a month without delay?
It is not convenient for most to have to take something in to get it replaced. Is that even pointed out to people when they buy a PS3?
Regardless of what anyone says, it is always more preferable to be able to change the battery pack yourself like you can with remote controls, the 360 controller,...
...is that there are already too many standards, 720p, 1080i, 1080p. Whats worse is that you can buy 1080i/p displays that have a max resolution that are below that to really enjoy 1080i/p. To be honest, you sit 3 meters back from a 32" 720p HD display and you don't get much benefit of HD-DVD/Blu-Ray over an upscaled DVD. Of course there is a difference but not one worth getting excited about.
Hell, even HDMI is up to release 1.3. To the average consumer its all nonsen...
...then I'm all for it. I will still hold off until the winner is certain...or maybe wait a couple more years longer and just wait for digital distribution and say to the likes of Sony and Toshiba a big f**k you for putting the consumer through this in the first instance.
I love the way people are disagreeing with me becuase I may decide to wait for Digital Distribution...which is obviously the way the market will go in the future. Don't believe me, well, just ask all those ...
...as all the consoles will have new content (i.e. games, downloads, etc) over the Xmas period. Ok, the titles Sony list are all great franchises but if Sony wants to ensure it wins this xmas it must significantly reduce the price of the PS3.
