That is not a comparison of the PS3 version. I'm the first to admit I did not like the game but the PS3 image they have in the comparison has either been doctored or taken from the PC version running on a low-spec PC.

This type of posting is complete tripe and the person who posted it and those who approved should have such privileges revoked.

...that the first thing you will need to do before playing the retail version of the game is to download a patch.

Not that that is a show stopper but I do find it annoying. Same thing happened with Metal Gear Online.

...I played this on the 360 last year and never completed it. Got tired of the heavily scripted story line. I decided to download the demo (was a 1.8Gb for NZ) but deleted it about 2 hours later. For me there is just no reply value what so ever.

I can appreciate why people really dig this game but for me, there is little to warrant buying it. Not when I look at some of the other big releases between now and Xmas.

...is 11 and my youngest is going on 4. All my kids love it - this game is aimed at good family fun entertainment. I hope you can get your beta key.

Me, I'm buying this game at the end of the month for my kids as watching them have fun playing it is so worth the asking price.

...don't you like?

I for one have stopped buying games on the 360 that have on-line play as there is no way I'm going to pay extra to play part of a game I have already payed full price for.

As for the on-line service, there is nothing really that the 360 and PS3 don't do differently. Take away cross game invites and they are basically the same service.

...I get disagrees because I made some comments about how much I like the game. Apparently I must be lying or something.

F**king fanboys should just F**k Off.

...to see a PS4 released for at least another 4 years unless something goes completely wrong with the PS3...which is unlikely.

The PS3 has taken a little while to get into its stride but since the release of MGS4, the establishment of a platinum range, some killer PSN games and the impending arrival of some additional AAA titles, the PS3 is looking very healthy indeed.

I for one would not be too concerned about the PS3 going anywhere other than moving from strength t...

...last week and since then I have not had as much fun with a game than I have with LBP. The kids absolutely love it as well and they have all been drawing out levels they want to create. On-line co-op play is just excellent and so is browsing and playing all the custom levels that have been created so far.

I was unsure about LBP until I played the beta but now I'm convinced that it will be a huge success for the PS3. It successfully merges fun with creativity with skill. Oh ...

DMC4 did nothing to breathe new life into the franchise other than making it a multi platform title.

...given the cash cow that is XBL Gold. Also, the attach rate for software for the 360 is such that MS must be very happy indeed.

You have to wonder why Lego did not release something like this.

...is that the high score charts need some attention. They don't update anywhere near fast enough. Also, if you get a really great lap/race time and you are not on-line at the time it does not later upload that score for the global high-scores next time you're on-line. It only remains as a personal record.

However, its a minor gripe for a game I would score as 9.75/10. Its damn near perfect and is the most fun I have had from a PSN game since getting Super Stardust HD.

I would love to know who all the PS3 owners are who moan about them.

...1.8Gb. Much bigger than the demo file released on XBL over a year ago.

My impressions: well, it basically looks the same which is a good and bad thing depending on how you look at it. My pet peeves from the original still apply:
- Frame rate is not rock steady but seems a little smoother.
- Texture resolution still not as high as I would have liked - don't get me wrong, it all looks great until you get up close to some textures.
- No main character shadow w...

...to 360 owners in New Zealand. We still don't even have a good on-line movie service.

Basically, the only real differences between the PS3/PSN and 360/XBL in NZ is:
- You pay for on-line gaming on the 360
- You have cross game invites on the 360
- You have a web browser (albeit a crippled browser) on the PS3
- Neither service offers good video content (in NZ!!!)
- 360 has more demos of downloadable games.

If the 360 and PS3 were the s...

...and have to say that if Sony get their marketing right on this one then LBP will be huge and that Sackboy will be as well known as Crash Bandicoot, Sonic The Hedgehog, etc.

Regardless of which platform you support, LBP is a fantastic title that is aimed at both casual and hardcore gamers.

Again, Sony needs to market this game and market it well. None of that "This is Living" nonsense.

...gives a damn if a game wins GOTY. What does that actually mean to anyone other than those who developed the game. Its like when an actor wins an oscar - means nothing to those who pay to see the movies, except maybe higher ticket prices.

I've played some great games this year and having none of them win GOTY won't change my opinion of those games what so ever.
