...simply because of the larger 360 install base and its basically the only AAA exclusive on the 360 this holiday season with mass market appeal. Sure there is Fable II and the next Banjo game but Fable II is not a game for the masses and Banjo seems to be falling a little flat in the reviews.
However, Gears 2 is a brilliant sequel that I'm sure will help MS move lots of 360s over the holiday period.

As for why the graphics change tell me what multiplayer FPS game does not feature graphics that appear different during on-line play?
If you buy a game on-line then MS and Sony should provide credits you can use for other on-line purchases. Depending on how old the game is you might get more points for the trade. Once you have traded you can no longer run the game for your console until, if you desire, you pay to unlock it again.
...for PS3 exclusives that actually deserve it otherwise you wont see them remain as exclusives.
I am not on the K2 beta but am loving what I'm seeing and hearing about the game. However, that ain't out until 2009 where as resistance will be out in a few days time (I live in New Zealand where it gets released on Nov 21). I'm sure R2 is more than good enough to fill the void until K2 comes out.
And if once I have played K2 I can't play games like R2 anymore because...
...that Digital Distribution will reign supreme in the future. If managed correctly then it alone will kill second hand game sales. It will also mean the end of many gaming stores and sections just like DD for music has seen the demise of many music stores around the world.
Obviously the technology and cost for DD of such large files (e.g. MGS4) is not quite there but give it 10 years. No doubt that the next Xbox will be more DD ready as they seem to be paving the way for game...

Honestly, if Nintendo wanted to release hardcore games on the Wii then they should have packed in a lot more processing power. the PS2 could pull off what we can see in that short clip.

The sterile environment, whilst obviously in keeping with the games storyline, just didn't do it for me at all. It was dull and didn't feel alive. Other than the scripted characters and occasional pigeon the city came across as being deserted.
...are those who will never play it. I for one think it looks like a great continuation and I'm especially pleased to hear it has a longer single player campaign. I remember all that crap when the first gears came out that DVD9 prevented Gears from being longer and that it pushed the 360 to its limit.

I have yet to see the definitive zombie movie...although 28 Days Later came close the final act let it down somewhat.
I live in NZ and want to apologise for the amateur review presented by this NZ gaming site. It did not even address such fundamentals as:
- How long is the campaign?
- Is there replay value to the single player campaign?
- Is co-op available for the single player campaign also?
- What about multi-player and co-op modes?
- What sort of replay value does the co-op mode provide?
- What about the lobby system (all too important when living in NZ)

Sorry to rain on your parade but digital distribution has the best chance of winning in the long run. Like it or not many already use DD of sorts in digital satellite services such as Sky or Freeview. Won't be long until you'll be able to access a menu and select whatever movie you want to watch when you want to watch it. Heck, some service providers already offer this to some extent. I equate this type of DD as streamed-DD.
