The nice thing about Gamescom is that there is really some uncertainty about wha tSony might reveal (unlike E3). Also, I have NO idea what to expect from Microsoft or EA tomorrow.
What about people who already have an old PSP and a huge collection of UMD games? They might want to upgrade to the new hardware, no?
Despite the sound economic reasoning, it still sucks for people in the UK, who always pay more for games anyway. Also, does this mean that Sony and Nintendo will do the same thing?
It might be impractical, but the external UMD drive is by far my preferred solution, for the exact reasons mentioned in the article: total freedom to rip my own games whenever I want.

I am waiting for reviews before I buy Assassin's Creed PSP. It is not being made by the same team at Ubisoft that did the console games, but by an outside company called Griptonite.

Good lord that's a lot of cars. Even though there are repeats (model years) and some that probably won't make it over from GT4, it's amazing to scroll down the list and see hopw big this game is going to be.

I definitely think that Assassin's Creed PSP could turn out to be disappointing. The console game upon which it was based had its fair share of problems. Also, in the trailer I have seen, the PSP game looks like it focuses more on combat rather than stealth.
No, the article is saying that Sony doesn't publish any list of sales so that other companies can see whether the PSN is a good place to sell their games or not.
