ISPs in America would never agree to this scheme because there are too many of them. If only some agreed to ban their own users for piracy, they would lose money to the other, shadier ISPs.
I wish that more developers would release demos, but I tihnk many are scared that the public will find their game crappy and not buy it.
The bigger story is how expensive the Nintendo DSi is: $170 for a couple of crappy 0.3 megapixel cameras does not seem like a good deal to me.
$80 is pretty crazy, especially when my USB access point on my laptop only cost like $20. Along with their external Harddrives, Microsoft should really stop gouging customers on accessories.
This game is going to rule SO Hard. If you haven't yet played the original DiRT from 2007, I urge everyone to pick it up on sale.
Every time I see Jack Thompson's face I just want to punch something. how can it be that a person who has been disbarred is still allowed to help craft legislation?
And one more thing: Won't this bill simply hurt the economy of Utah? I mean, it seems easier for stores to just close their doors in that state rather than deal with re-labelling games.
I think this game, if done properly, could be bigger and better than Fallout 3.
The amount of money that Microsoft charges for the 120 GB hard drive is ridiculous. I think it should come standard in the Pro bundle and have its price dropped to $70 as a standalone drive.
Wait, when did God of War 3 slip from a 2009 release? I'm pretty sure its coming out in the fall.
This game looks off the hook. Good to see more indie development on the PSP.
I don't think used game sales are the problem. The problem is that publishers are either too greedy or not creative enough to find ways to sell their games directly to consumers.
Really interesting article. I would love it if I could actually talk to characters in games without having to select from a dialog tree... but I think this technology is more than 10 years away.
I am so excited to see actual gameplay for Assassin's creed. If that game sells decently then we don't need to worry about other developers getting on board for the PSP 2.
At first I was kind of "meh" about this game, but the title is looking better and better. Those new screenshots look incredible for a turn-based strategy game.
It looks like the only gameplay involves tapping the screen to shoot at pre-rendered enemies.
Compared to how good Portable Ops was in terms of gameplay and complexity, this looks like an online flash game.
Here's why the developer would not want to hurt sales of the game on Wii by announcing it as multiplatform.
If they tell everyone they have been planning to release it on the Xbox 360 all along, then those hardcore gamers who were interested will just wait for the inevitable xbox 360 version.
They don't want to hurt THEIR OWN Sales of the Wii version, hoping to sell twice as many copies when they finally put it on next-gen consoles.
Madworld is going to sell so badly on the Wii that they are going to release an Xbox 360 version just to recoup their investment.
This is such a no brainer I can't believe people still think the game is Wii exclusive. I mean, a game where you can cut of someone's head and then throw their corpse in a dumpster. On the Wii. No
parent is going to buy this for their kid.
Very unprofessional for them to say it like that, if true. Wouldn't be surprised if Capcom PR comes down on this website hard to take the story down.
according to the article, the Internet company will turn off you rinternet access for a certain amount of time (6 months) and you still have to pay!
