Very interesting news. I wonder what took Sony so long.. I mean, they didn't try to sue the makers of the Pandora battery, did they?
The Specs are about on the same level as the PS2. Not great but good enough to run retro games all day long.

That is well said. I would hate to have to go up against a Nintendo handheld... and Sony is the only company in history to have done it successfully.
I thought that was a pretty interesting article, but I disagree. If anything, the PSP is helping the PS3 because when gamers play franchiseslike God of War and REsistance on the handheld, they are going to want the real thing eventually.
The Gamecube only sold 21 million worldwide in its entire life. So yes, I think the Xbox 360 is a pretty big success.
I predict that ODST will sell 2x better than Halo Wars.
Don't people often point out that the Xbox 360 Elite and 80 GB PS3 are basically the same price, feature-for-feature?
I agree with Halo Wars, I just don't see RTS being a huge hit on the console.
Lesson #4: Don't make a buggy POS like Castle Crashers.
I think it is just a good way to build free marketing buzz without having to spend a dime on advertising.
40 million households is a heck of a large audience, and if Nintendo can make this system work, they will have found yet another way to print unlimited heaps of money.
If I had money to invest in the stock market I would be looking closely at Nintendo.
It's not just white. I remember there were a whole bunch of colors planned way back in 2006, but we only got a handful of them outside of Japan. Also, those limited edition ones suck, I don't want crap painted all over my electonics.
This game looks a lot better than Innocent Life, which was kind of a strange mix of futuristic stuff and classic Harvest Moon gameplay.

Depends what kind of games you like. Personally, I am sick of all the crap shovelware on the DS and games like Monster Hunter appeal to me more.
I really think that 2009 will get better for the PSP, especially if you are into Japanese style games. I am personally really looking forward to checking out Ushiro and Phantasy Star Portable.
Yes, and it better stay that way. I was pissed when game publishers announced that "next gen" games would be $10 more expensive just because of HD graphics or whatever. To pay $69 for a new game is too much, when I can just wait and get it used later for much less.
Wow that is actually good news for Sony and consumers. I am surprised they were able to reduce costs so much.. maybe a $100 price drop will be possible soon.
Is Monster Hunter Tri due in America in 2009?
Good Question
-No I wouldn't buy all 8. The games that interest me are Wii Sports Resort, Dead Rising, Red Steel 2 and Punch Out!!
Even though I wouldn't buy all of the games on the list, it would be nice to have a little bit more... choice, you know?
I agree with you, except for the fact that on the PSP, each of the games could be given a major graphical overhaul.
Imagine Professor Layton with hd graphics and full voice acting. Same goes for TWEWY.
So in some ways the PSP versions could be better.
