I don't have a PS4 yet. I imagine there are quite a few people similar to me.
From a completely unbiased source, /r/Xboxone, no less. Impressive. Surely that's at least 98% of not only E3 viewers, but gamers all around the world in general.
Missing titles? Both Octopath Traveller and Smash Bros. are coming out this year. That's more than enough for me next to Valkyria Chronicles 4.
Don't forget the lack of achievements/trophies, direct messaging, friend searches by ID, USB backup, nor (as far as I can tell) a simple history list of which games you've downloaded / purchased on the store.
It's always been possible, Nintendo just wanted to push their chat app.
It's also 'possible' to message people on your friend's list, not have to add people by friend code, and form multiplayer parties to join online games as a group, but all of these features have thus far not been implemented. It's really f*cking annoying. Nintendo saying it isn't possible is pretty much Phil Spencer saying always-on online couldn't be just flipped off wi...
I warn everyone I talk to not to play Fortnite on anything because it's an awful game.
I was expecting it to be like Deus Ex. Sounds like I had the right idea.
Neither. Nintendo had the best presentation. A slew of amazing new announcements, gameplay from both first-party and third-party titles, and notes from developers.
I wish it had more speakers, since the devs saying a few words is always interesting. On the other hand, though, having no speakers is a lot better than listening to Phil Spencer talk out of his ass for an hour.
You're funny.
I'm interested to hear your opinion after the PS conference has ended.
Wow. After watching the PS conference I bet this author sure feels stupid.
Makes you wonder why they're even in the gaming industry if that was one of their best shows.
I thought it was a great conference for PC and PS4 gamers. There were a lot of good games shown to look forward to!
@DJStotty Thanks for joining the conversation! It's always nice to hear directly from hardware engineers on this subject.
We can only pray to the gaming gods that you're wrong.
I don't mind iterative consoles, but announcing a new model is in development when your current newest model is only half a year old is f*cking r*tarded. Of course, it was Phil Spencer who said it, so...
...for the first year.
I highly doubt getting Battlefield V advertising rights was cheap.
@Ashlen Why would you think they aren't ready for a new console yet? Did you not see M$'s E3 press conference. Phil Spencer stated very clearly that the next XBox is deep in development already.
