We should probably wait until e3 before we decide if the Wii U is boned or not. Im sure e3 will roll around and lots will be revealed that's why there is so much silence regarding the Wii U at the momentthey are waiting to have one major unload of information to take the media by storm...
People need to stop believing the hype that Sony has laid out for them... no way in hell the Cell CPU is like a 7 core processor, just not happening. These spu's are limited in the functions that they can actually do outside of the core ppu. And acting as if Sony did something grand they just borrowed this layout from GPU's and how they are designed. Which the spu design works much better in assisting the main processor in graphics more than physics and calculating AI.
I think u said it best here! And why people even think that the 720 and ps4 are going to be leaps and bounds graphically above Wii U is just nuts. The ps3 was so suppose to be a year worth of better tech as well and it didnt show it.
Just make it an 360 exclusive and market it against Last of Us then. ubisoft would have 60+ potential customers how many copies do these companies want to sell of these games
Everyone throws around the word gimmick to minimalize the new play control nintendo brought into gaming, but when its copied its ok though. An announcement of PS4 at e3 will be just that an announcement of ps4 at e3. Yes we all know that Wii U wont get Gta V because the wii had such family friendly games like Bully, Manhunt, Resident Evil, Call of Duty, Deadspace, Madworld, Conduit, No More Heroes & Silent Hill just to name some. Well I always love articles like this that just reek of blind favortism. For people to actually not consider the 3ds competition to the vita would mean Sony has learned nothing from the psp and ps3. I think people are missing the point because if most just believe that from Nintendo's conversations that they were dissatisfied with 3ds launch because their own Mario games weren't at launch then they would be deceived. Its not necessarily about Nintendo just opening their wallet, its a very big deal for a publisher that's putting out a new game to have the floor on a Nintendo system without competition from Nintendo's own software. Nintendo gave the floor to 3rd parties on the 3ds and they did nothing with it. But I could see Rockstar taking full advantage of this. This game could sell 5million copies on the Wii U by itself in the first year...

The controller does not cost as much as everyone thinks it does. The screen is definitely the most expensive part and i would bet that Nintendo gets these things for like $15 bucks... probably would cost nintendo $50 all in all to manufacture, these companies make very large profits off of the accessories they sell
Something people really need to do is read a whole article before they come here and start quoting things. The first missed quoted information im tired of hearing is that early reports of the 3ds power put it on par with the 360 and ps3. And no one ever said those exact words, it was more like the 3ds can reproduce graphical effects seen on those consoles better than the wii ever could. The second misquote is that developers were claiming that Wii U will be 50% more powerful than ps3 & 36...

Whats so crazy here is when people try and bash Nintendo for at least trying to innovate the way that we play games are totally content with using a dual shock 3 for 6 more years... Selling 90 million units of the wii proves that people wanted change in gaming and thats why both Sony and Microsoft jumped in the game with Kinect and Move, to be present and relative in that movement
All i can say is i listen to quite a bit of this podcast and these people must do alot of drugs because barely anyone but the host could string words into full sentences. Their arguments werent even good againt the Wii U, there's just not enough factual information right now about the system to even form an opinion other than its being made by nintendo!
