What is very crazy to me is how strongly people feel against Nintendo. How would these same people feel if by the next console cycle, Both Sony and Nintendo joined forces and made another console together? But I think what most people are reflecting is that the games that have really mattered the most this generation have predominately been great multiplats on competing systems. So the exclusive games really should be games that give the respective system its own identity, which I think games like LBP did very well for PS3

The big differences between Nintendo and Sony, is that Nintendo during the n64 & gamecube days made profits on every piece of hardware and software sold. So the fact that they sold 20+ million of gamecubes they were all very profitable sales. Sony must get out of this business model of losing so much money on their hardware being sold. This was reported on another site and Nintendo wants content on their box similar to the 360 having access to ESPN or WiiU having similar direct on-demand services as HD cable boxes. like I stated before just because they put it in the box doesn't mean that developers have axcess to the processing power. The power 7 architecture is IBM and the CELL chip is based off of the power pc technology, So where are people getting power 8 from?
Yes, that way these companies can reduce the prices for getting a next gen experience for say just 30 or 40 bucks. Sell the multiplayer version for $20 and I believe we would see even higher game sells.

There is no way in hell the next gen systems will produce fully lit, animated and detailed characters and envirionment as these images, all the while implimenting great physics as well. They may utilize some great visual trickery and multi layering techniques with textures and all. but u wont see 20 characters all running around as detailed as these in these pics...

Who ever said that the wii would be able to keep up with ps3 & 360 graphically? That's the first time that I've ever heard that comment. Guess what, there wasn't a market for the wii and Nintendo created an avenue! So they will be fine with the wii u. If people don't want the system then don't buy it. all 3 systems were pretty successful this generation, It just so happens the wii sold more hardware than the other 2. But by your arguments and claims then,no one knows how powerful the wii u will be! But what gets me is that by the standards of time of release then the ps3 coming out more than a year after the 360 should mean that games on the ps3 should be superior in every way to 360 games. So in this theory Microsoft would have made the better system out of the 2, since it came out before the ps3 but can still hang with it visually.
Yeah I don't think Nintendo's stock dropped because they feared the PS3 and vita could do something similar. I'm pretty sure that at the time it had more to do with the 3ds' rocky start and the poor unveiling of information for the WiiU Nintendo gave, that seems like the most logical explanation in this case. If Nintendo stock just drops at will every time they do something out of the box or unfounded, they would have been out of business a long time ago...
