Douche bags...
What these companies SHOULD do if they're feeling so threatened by rental and used games is get into that market. If you can't beat em, join em. If these big publishers somehow got involved in rental or used game markets they could make their money back. Make deals with companies to get a percentage of used games or rentals. Something. THAT would be the best solution for everyone.
We do have the power, and it's the power of the people who abuse things that is causing restrictions to us. Yes, DRM sucks. Why are we mad at the developers though? Be mad at the douche bags who are forcing companies to try and maintain as much revenue from pirated content as they can.
It's just time to accept that as we move into an age where it's way easier to distribute content, and companies need to try harder to make their money back. If I wanted a game...
To be honest, everyone who's saying "If I can't rent or buy this game and get the whole thing, I'm not getting it at all." isn't really accomplishing anything.
Game Developers: "So, you were going to buy the game used but now you won't because of online pass? So, basically, we weren't getting your money either way? Who are you again, and why do we care?"
Buying a game used is one thing, because they've already...
You can play online for $10.
Or saving $12 isn't all that big of a deal to people, and buying DLC isn't that big of a deal to people. If you can't afford $5, these people should try harder for that promotion to manager at McDonalds.
I love this game, but there are issues. My biggest complaint is losing my stats. I will play a session, rank up, spend my points and when I sign back in the next day all of my points are missing. I'll still have my unlocks, but the points are missing. I'm currently at 22/45, but should probably be at 25/45 by now. It's seriously caused me not to play some nights. I instead work on the campaign on Elite, but I'd rather be playing online.
And a gun to your head!!! Wait, nevermind I forgot you don't have to buy it if you don't want to.
MK is the PS3 of fighting games.
My only complaint would be with the ending. I figured I was coming close to the end but I expected an end boss fight or something. When it ended the way it did it felt very sudden, very unexpected in terms of gameplay. Otherwise it was a great game.
Shadow you pointed out exactly why I refused to even click the link.
Where is the ACLU regarding the horrible comments that were said about Clarence Thomas? Apparently liberals are allowed to say they'll string up a black man if he's a conservative?
In your gaming analogy I failed to see where I "earned" the equipment you mentioned. Sounds to me like it was given to me, by you since you determined what I was given.
Well I personally don't care for the leveling of the playing field, or socialism as some people call it. I prefer to earn what I get, not have the government divvy me my "fair share".
You guys realize this has nothing to do with Fox News and more to do with journalists who understand nothing about gaming right? It's people who are too old to have been around gaming that have no clue what it's about.
Yes, Fox News ran a retarded article about this game, but I'm sure other news outlets have done the same. This is Fox News though, the news outlet that is "cool" to hate. You guys realize that liberals are just as idiotic about gaming...
The demo is wack. They're using over the top kills to try and sell this game.*
Fixed it for you.
I never noticed it. I had no clue what anyone was talking about when I heard they released a patch. Must be because I don't play alot of FPS games.
I feel that they were marketing to the grown up gamer who still likes the idea of playing something their mom wouldn't approve of. Just because it says "Your mom hated Dead Space 2" doesn't mean it was being marketed to minors. You're reading way into it. Maybe it takes a grown up to understand the purpose of this ad.
In no way shape or form are PS3 fanboys going to be intimidated by 10GB. It's 1/5 of the storage a BR can hold.
