I stopped reading at VGchartz.
It's not even fun anymore. Like shooting fish in a barrel.
This doesn't change the fact that a DMC game is coming out that features a Dante I don't want to play as. I didn't care about how the story "fit" with the others. I just don't want to play as this Dante.
Why would they allow a setting to be turned up to a point that it was useless?
Something like this doesn't just happen to exist randomly for some people. It's either there or it isn't.
This article is missing Arkham Asylum and Arkham City. It's hard for me to enjoy other games after playing those. Especially the combat. I just got Battlefield 3 after beating Arkham City and I'm really having a tough time enjoying it because I'm not Batman kicking some ass.
I personally believe that the PS3 architecture does provide advantages that let developers take the edge in graphics over competitors this generation. It's pretty evident with the quality of recent games. However, I really don't think we need a voice actor trying to explain this because he clearly doesn't understand it.
I mean, he even mentioned the "next generation PS3". There will be no next gen PS3. Next gen Playstation yes, but he doesn't e...
Autodidactdystopia - ND has what some may call credibility. They are developers, who are well known for really pulling all of the PS3's potential out. They probably know that system inside and out by now. People listen to them because they are credible.
Maybe wait until it's like $10.
Not me, EVERY time I turn the camera I have very slow and distracting texture pop in. I would almost prefer they just stay low texture so that it isn't so distracting. The only time the game looks nice is when I'm not moving, which isn't very often.
From my understanding all 3 version have major issues.
I don't care if a game "disguises" things or uses "smoke and mirror" techniques to make things look nice, as long as it looks nice. Because when I play Rage, and every time I turn 2 feet in any direction and have to sit there and watch the textures load it looks UGLY. It looks terrible, and it's horribly distracting. It negates any other achievement the game has in regards to looks.
It would be like an architect building a really awesome lookin...
I have a co-worker who was telling me about his new $600 video card who lives with his parents, so not necessarily.
Only way I'll believe they pushed the PS3 is if they actually developed the game for the PS3 properly by taking full advantage of its architecture. Otherwise, no...
I want to answer your question, I really do. I just don't know how...
If only gameplay mattered we wouldn't get new consoles. I pay for a new console every generation, and I expect more than just good gameplay. Yes, Gameplay is the most important, but it is by far not the only thing that matters in a video game.
God of War 3 killed my PS3. I literally got only 1 hour into the game the day it released and then the PS3 turned off suddenly. Tried to turn it back on and YLOD. The game I had been looking forward to since the release of the PS3, and I ended up having to wait a few months to play it.
It's a recognition of hard work to the developers. They get a reward for doing an amazing job. This in turn encourages them to continue their awesomeness. I'm willing to bet that Uncharted 2 getting GOTY encouraged Naughty Dog to push themselves even more than they otherwise would have with Uncharted 3 because they know they kick ass and want to prove they can do it again.
Nah, I'm renting from Gamefly and then I'll probably buy it later as a complete package. I don't want to wait for the hamburger of the year edition before I play it.
Having failed systems sucks, but Sony does give you the ability to back up your saves for a reason. I had a system YLOD on me and lost all my saves, by I'd been telling myself I needed to backup for months and never did. I only blame myself. Now I've got plus and backup my saves to the cloud.
