The PS3 base is only at 15 million and seeing as the PS2 had well over 130 million user base so the PS3 still has over 100million people who haven't bought one yet and this is for them.
There will be more upgrades like this as the years go by. Sony already stated this clearly last year and now we're seeing what they meant way back then.

Exactly. The only way people with 40gigs dont have space is if they insist on keeping old demos and trailers and leaving game installs for games they don't play on a regular basis any more.
40gig is a heck of a lot if you're mainly gaming on it even with a few photos & music.
As for 20 gig, well you'll have to be strict with your content. 100 game saves won't even take up 1gig of your HDD so you'll have to uninstall game routinly and use your PS3 soly for gaming ...
Well as for time, it takes all of 5 mins to do and as for money, I'd say isn't that the reason they got 20&40gigs in the first place?
I've had an 80gig packed with boat load of demos, photos, trailers, themes, music, games: installs and saves (even PS1&2 saves) and I still be over 30gigs.
I don't think I can ever get to a point where I don't have space for what I want. Right now I'm trying to pack in as much stuff as I can and see how much stuff I can load on there to make it hit the 500mb mark.
Once I accomplish that, I'll be go delete the tonne of stuff I don't use or need like year old demos...
The Playstation fanbase have two HAWT FPSs for this Christmas time period to enjoy while the other console has none at all for this time period or even announced for later in the year.

I loved the demo of Haze and thought the game would present a solid current gen expereince (I don't need my graphics to be 'teh uber') However, the game didn' meet my expectations even though it was a decent shooter regardless.

Well the game is catered to preteens and young teens so I'd think it's art direction is appropriate. However, I can certainly see older gamers, especially female, getting into this too.
