If this ever happens (which no way in hell Sony does anything like this. Know your gaming history and you'll see why) then:

2) I'm definitely not paying full price for any game until it's reduced in price by half

That #7 I think he's onto something cause I feel the exact same way. Xcom comes out same day as Brink. They're going to have to move their launch date for the 360 if they want a chance of better sales cause ain't no way in hell I can see a chunk of the 360 fanbase go out and get this game (mystery detective game with shooting elements here and there) over Brink (an all out FPS).

I would have to disagree with the "does it feel like SOCOM - yes" bit. Well I agree and disagree. The beta doesn't have enough to get a good grasp on if this will encourage the type of comradre that other SOCOMs did but for a beta, the game is pretty good, fun and clean.
This most likely means the game's MP will be solid on launch but I can't tell if we'll have that ol' SOCOM "feel" or not from this beta yet cause I certainly don't ...

This game ain't gonna sell on the Xbox360. There's a reason games like Xcom went the FPS route instead of it's original roots.
But how will gamers know it's still got buggy issues? Reviewers are going to give it 10s like they always do and people will say the same thing they've always been saying "oh, this time, it looks really good" and then they'll give another record breaking sales to Activision and then complain on forums all over again about how it sucks but they still play it religiously.
