In years 5&6 we'll be looking back at games like Uncharted, MGS4 & Killzone II and laughing at how we ever thought these games were mind blowing in terms of graphics, lighting or physics.
and I'm glad Zipper didn't fall victim to the community trying to limit their creative ideas. They're one of the few developers that have taken their last gen franchises to the next level and not copped out by releasing current gen upgrades that are in the "<insert name of game here> .5" realm.
Kojima did it with MGS (although all those games have always been unique unto themselves), Infinity Ward did it with CoD and it's good to see Zipper doing it to.
"We didn't feel we needed to show Halo to have a great show, to pay homage to our core audience, to have a lot of news, so it was an embarrassment of riches and we couldn't fit it in. How great is that? I think that's awesome."
SO you're telling me that instead of showing an exclusive IP like Halo's next adventure they preferred showing off two multiplatform games instead?
So you're telling me they'd rather show of games that the competition's fanbase can b...
"so I doubt we'll hear anything about a 360 version (If it's at all possible since this puts all those PS3 cores to use)..."
y-e-a-h... Sony will be releasing one of it's in house games on the 360... sure, OK :/
WOW! So very well said. Bubble
and are now jsut talking non-sense. I think they're just blown away by what's happening with the wii and really think that this is what core gamers really want and enjoy.
Nintendo have taken too many funny mushrooms and are indeed high.
Wow, the gaming community are so ill- informed nowadays it's pathetic and the reason MS and the gaming media can so easily manipulate it like it does.
Look, since you don't know, the PS1 was in demand for a very long time and had a 10 year cycle. Sony stopped it's production 5 years after the launch of the PS2.
You see those millions of people buying PS2's now? Yup, those were the ones buying the PS1 at the PS2's current price; the ones that didn't get a PS1 'til...
Thank you. It's unbelieveable that gamers today don't even know this was being done on the PS1 back in the day... and no, it started with Driver 1 not Driver 2.
Wow, you sound defeated. :(
Two big things presented for MS E3 were Fable II and (apparently) the FF13 multiplat anouncement with Gears helping float the boat a little more.
Everything else was jsut standard and lukewarm. Also, this crazy that's seemingly taken over the net with the FF13 anouncement is baffling to me cause I thought it was common knowledge already that SE were going to have either FF13 or FF13 Vs. as a multiplat game with even the Wii getting an exclusive FF break off.
I se...
You mean a smaller percentage of that figure right? Cause we all know the core gamer is no longer the core fanbase for Nintendo. Nintendo's core fanbase is the non traditional gamer this gen and they're what have propelled the Wii.
Great for Nintendo but IMO, very little to no core gamer, worth his/her salt, has a Wii as their primary console for gaming entertainment and I'm positive I'm not at all far off from the truth on that.
... but on this one, have a bubble.
We got choice. These are great entertainment value for the gaming community and it's great to have these different styles with their unique spin on info and stuff.
Let's not make this into some stupid fanboy spin off like we seem to do with virtually anything gaming nowadays but rather enjoy the varied choice we have.... now what WOULD be competition is if there were a Bizarro HHG that had a preference to the 360. Now THAT would be some entertainment... but the person would have ...
I couldn't stop watching 'till it ended. I'm pumped to see what HHG got for E3. It'll be crazy entertainment for sure, with that extra HHG flavor.
... I don't get it.. what's so surprising?
Not even one comment on this? Wow. The halo franchise ain't what it used to be for sure.
I remember a time forums would get massive hits just from an article showing just one bullet from one of halos riffles and would garner thousands of comments all ouing and ahhing
but that looked bloody good to me and way more interesting than what we've seen on the Wii. I don't care if Ninty fans thumb me down to eternity. That looked more like what gamers we're expecting from the Wii-mote and if they can also do a better job with FPSs ... and drop the 360's price comparable to the Wii, then I have no clue have core gamers won't go get a 360 instead of a Wii.
This won't kill the Wii at all I think cause Nintendo's Wii is getting a chunk of it's momentum f...
Does it really NEED to? It's the only handheld to actually compete with the DS and is doing very well. It's got a foot hold in the market and can grow from here.
You would think PSN gave out beta invites and now it's stopped cause of Qore :/
1) Yes, you can save your game at virtually any point so I don't why you feel you can't.
2)It's not an RTS (real time strategy), it's a TBS (turn based strategy)
There were one or two other things that weren't accurate in the review but these are the two that stuck out for me.
