Of course you can have an opinion of a game even if you haven't played it. There are plenty of gameplay videos, walkthroughs and reviews that describe exactly what it is and what it's about. That's how anyone makes an informed decision on whether to buy it in the first place. Considering how much discussion is going on with the changes, if you're following the game at all it's pretty hard to miss how divided the fanbase is. I'm glad I didn't buy it...

They didn't though. A remake implies that it will still resemble the original game for the most part with modernized graphics and gameplay. Since they decided to alter the story, it ends up being more of a reboot or "reimagining" like people are saying.

I'm not gonna sit here and pretend like the FFVIIR looks terrible but I agree that it's way too ambitious. It's going to take them a decade or more just to get all of the episodes out for it and I have no doubt in my mind they are going to keep charging full price for each one. I just can't in good conscious support that shit. I definitely would've rather had them remaster it similar to how Shadow of the Colossus was where the original game is kept intact they just updated...

MS have something really incredible on their hands with Gamepass. While I haven't bought into it yet, the value you get from it, for purely third party games alone, is becoming really hard to ignore. And it's pretty clear with all the studio acquisitions that they are trying to fill the gap of first party games as well. I think they are definitely making a lot of the right moves with it and it'll only get better.
Agreed. Most of the games they give out are trash and the ones that aren't I more than likely have already played. The only real reason to pay for the subs are for online but given the fact that my main gaming box is my PC, paying for online is like throwing money in the trash to me. I can't stand it. I will pick up a month or so of + every now and then when I want to jump back into BB but other than that I have zero need for them.
I don't know why it took so long for me to hear about Temtem but it looks dope. PC Pokémon clone with online MP that doesn't have to rely on ancient Nintendo tech. Sounds amazing.

I don't get why people say FromSoft games aren't fun. Yes they are challenging but that doesn't in any way retract from now much fun I am having. Honestly nothing beats the adrenaline rush of fighting a boss 30 times and finally pulling it off and getting the win. There is lore to get lost in, tons of different builds and weapons to try. I just don't get the mentality that challenging automatically equals not fun.

@yomfweeee Blizzard hasn't put out anything great in a long time now. Even if you consider how successful D3 became, it still launched very anti-consumer with the RMAH. Not to mention that if there wasn't a crazy amount of fan outrage for Diablo Immortal, they would have easily pushed that out which is the epitome of anti-consumer. Take a long time franchise that people love and have tons of nostalgia for and stuff it full of mtx. Seems real pro consumer to me...
