Probably because pretty much everyone on PC is having issues with the frame rate ever since the patch.

The Xbox One is already a closed console. Developers have already been optimizing specifically for it. They have not found out how to use the full potential of the system yet and I expect improvements even without DirectX 12. However not a big jump.

The difference is with PCs there are so many different variations of parts that it is a ton harder to optimize for every different PC configuration. This results in PCs having to power through games rather then being completely op...

I've been using an fps counter as well. It's called MSI Afterburner.

I'm wondering the same thing about my 760. Although I hope it's optimized better so they get rid of the freaking stutter that makes me motion sick!

Just wait till the iron banner comes out. It's going to be my equipment is better then yours plus the servers were closer to me giving no one a chance in hell to even kill me.

Back then single player didn't have to be super complicated compared to the game mechanics now are. It was mind boggling at the time. I remember playing those three on the Gamecube all the time when I was a kid.

This survey is done by just more then 1,000 people. I wonder what the results would be if there was a bigger amount of people that would do the survey.

I doubt it needs an 8 core CPU. The CPU does tasks such as spawn enemies, calculates how much damage you do to an enemy, calculates how much damage an enemy does to you, tells which AI to start a conversation, tells enemy X to do death animation #X when it's health reaches zero and it also draws the next frames sending it to the GPU to render the frame.

A game like Watch Dogs which had to keep generating multiple AI at the same time can be somewhat stressful on a CPU. Wh...

Why would you want an Intel Core i7-3770 to pair with a gtx 560 ti? I mean this isn't a RTS game which puts tons of strain on the CPU.

I can't really say how much better that it looks on the PC then the PS4/X1. It all depends on how picky someone is with graphics really. I did read that there are higher-resolution textures, higher quality affects and higher quality tessellation. But unless you compare them side by side there isn't a huge noticable difference. I was getting around 40fps during fights so I changed from Very High to High and couldn't even really notice the difference. Then I got around 65 to 70fps d...

If they make it even more detailed then Metro 2033 redux and Metro last light redux I will be seriously impressed. That along with The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt may very well make me get a new graphics card. Hoping for the GTX 880 to be in a resonable price range.

The thing is that PCs have so many AAA games that PC gamers are used to changing games more frequently. Like Titanfall came out and that took some of the gamers. Then when you got a good rig why stop playing the games you love? Battlefield 4 is far from being a really high quality product when it launched making lots of people wait for 3 months or so and then say screw it we have other quality games we can play.

The PS4 also is selling well and people finally can play battlef...

Well Epic licences the Unreal Engine out to other developers to use there engine for other games. Developers usually also work together so if a developer needs help with something they can get help from Epic.

Batman Arkham Knight is being made with Unreal Engine 4.

The Last of Us remastered was only on the PS3. People who had a Xbox 360/PC couldn't experience it. That is a lot of gamers who didn't get to play it. Metro 2033 wasn't on a Playstation platform for people to play. Both games has a target market.

The second set of screenshots does look worse as they put a different texture asset in it completely. But both of the redux screenshots has more light taking away some of the color.

4A said, "Metro 2033 Redux is a far more significant upgrade over the original than Metro: Last Light Redux". Why don't you compare Metro 2033 to it's redux version and then consider that it actually has optimization this time.

By the words of CD Project Red, "We are treating all gamers equally," says CD Projekt Red co-founder Marcin Iwinski. "We'll not deliver exclusive content to any of the platforms, nor will we artificially delay release of the game on any of the platforms because somebody's paying us money for that. It's definitely against our values. We are not doing that."

I don't think you have much to worry about when talking about CDprojectRed porting a game to consoles. They made amazing ports to the Xbox 360.

The CPU and GPU work together.

The CPU is responsible for calculating damage done, calculating damage taken, spawning AI, telling AI to have x conversation, telling AI to do death animation # when it's health reaches 0, it passes all of that info over to the GPU and the GPU draws it which then outputs to your screen.

It's like in Watch Dogs when your driving fast and vehicles appear in front of you. The CPU is having a hard time keeping up spawning c...

There is a lot more to next gen then just the frames per second. There is how many pixels are rendered each frame, texture resolution, better draw distance, better level of detail, less texture pop in although it does still still happen, more players in games(Battlefield) and best of all exclusives haven't looked better(The Order 1886 and Ryse: Son of Rome). Granted Ryse could've used better gameplay it definately showed off the Crytek engine being super optimized.
