The potential is there but it's up to the developers to make use of it. They haven't yet done it for PC, where an entry SSD makes a significant improvement for loading over a HDD but any faster results in marginal improvements at best, though usually no improvements as numerous gaming tests have demonstrated.
You get faster transfer speeds with better SSDs but that matters little to actual PC gaming over a basic SSD.
You may find the same with con...
Will it? I've yet to see much evidence either way.
XsX CPU will likely cost more but the PS5's smaller yet faster SSD will also likely cost more.
The XsX has a bulky design which means they potentially save money from engineering, designing & manufacturing smaller, more complicated components. We don't know the size of the PS5 yet.
Sony has seemingly invested quite a lot into 3D audio, we haven't heard much about Mi...
Most people could easily afford to charge outside of actually playing. Just make a habit out of plugging it in or putting it in the charging station when you're done.
GTA VI(ce city) with god father Verscetti as one of the playable protagonists would be ideal to me. He'd be less athletic & hates swimming but has more initial money & goons(something I loved in San Andreas & felt V lacked).
Maybe a customisable character as the primary protagonist. Perhaps an original character for the tertiary protagonist.
I enjoy the multiple switchable protagonist angle but felt they could do more with it, perhaps a m...
That's a similar speed to the RX Vega 64, I recall that GPU series doing exceptionally well in FLOPs & while everything else was great, it wasn't by the same margin as the FLOPS.
There's also more than than one way to measure FLOPs so these numbers could be inflated one way or another. That said, still a very impressive number & the 64 still sells at well over $500AUD, even preowned.
If it weren't for the One X, I wouldn't ha...
I don't care for esports but I can say I've never heard of a successful pro female player. I'm sure there are many skilled ladies who will smash me at most games
Are you seriously suggesting that less exposure won't impact a single sale?
I wonder how many potential consumers they could lose, I myself know a handful of moderate gamers that only pay attention when E3 comes around, none of them have heard of tgs, gamescom or pax or other smaller local gaming events, not sure how effective the reveal will be without the hype.
That's for the first year (or two) as to not alienate their current gen users like they did last gen.
Say what you will about Spencer, Xbox has certainly seemed to have become a lot more consumer friendly since their terrible Xbox One reveal when he took over.
Unfortunately it's taken them too long to walk the walk on things like exclusives but full BC & continued current gen support are two positive boxes ticked. We'll have to wait &...
Same price where I lived(Australia) shortly after launch. Xbox one launch price was $599AUD, PS4 $549AUD, a couple months later it wasn't uncommon to find the Xbox at the same price as the PS4, or even lower. Especially preowned (how I bought my original ps4).
All their stupid reveal shenanigans were more or less reversed before or shortly after launch so that didn't affect MY choice.
Ultimately they had the weaker console & neither had any ex...
It was the reason I chose the PS4 shortly after launch when both console were similar priced here and there were no good exclusives imo on either platform yet.
If both are more or less identical, why would I choose the weaker console? Sure many will choose because of branding, loyalty, expectations, or whatever but at the end of the day, they were both really similar but the PS4 was a little better.
With how things are now, and that I've upgraded to the PS4 Pro, I still...
I'm enjoying the show but I have a few minor problems with it.
The pacing is all over the place, even I found it hard to keep track of what is happening in which order.
The monsters look pretty low budget & the designs are questionable (I don't expect GoT quality but the dragons in particular look pretty shit imo).
I really like Triss from the game, so such a drastic difference is a little disappointing. The actor herself se...
I'm not opposed to both. Some of my favourite games had 'needlessly' large maps. RDR1+2, GTA SA/V, Fallout 3/4/NV, Assassins Creed Black Flag/Odyssey, TES III/IV/V & The Witcher III.
Granted there are many, what I'd consider small or more zone based games that I enjoy too such as Outer Worlds, KOTOR 1/2, Assassins Creed III, Shadow of War/Mordor, etc.
I have an XZ Premium & while I'll definitely never own an iPhone, there's nothing particularly special about Sony's phones.
This just happened to be the cheapest phone available at the time on a plan with the Snapdragon 835 chipset. The screen is okay but the 4k excessive & OLEDs are just nicer, the camera is okay when the stars align but is otherwise mediocre, the fingerprint scanner is interesting but awkwardly placed for anyone using a case & the...
I think it'd be more appropriate to compare Granny Smith with Red Delicious. Virtually the same thing but some strong flavour differences. Some people like both, hate both, or prefer one over the other by varying degrees.
Ah, Wright brothers, your flying machine only lasted 10 seconds, just give up.
Why is that so bad? Annoying, sure.
But I don't get why promoting such a thing is so evil.
It's common to use sex appeal or violence to sell games but progressive themes? How dare you!
Here comes the usual mountain of downvotes from not jumping into the circlejerk & automatically hating everything that's outside of traditional values with utter bullshit responses pretending otherwise while deflecting the truth that they...
What's with all those dislikes? The idiot beneath you mentioning the controller and chromecast got several likes for being unable to comprehend your comment, bringing in chromecast & controllers when you mention PC, something most people already have in some form, almost all of them having some form of keyboard & mouse.
The internet is stupid and these people on this site are a special breed of stupidity.
Was the Vita a success? I think it was a mild one, in that they got their money back probably, but they could have done so much more. Also the PSTV or whatever the mini-console was had plenty of potential but it died pretty quickly.
A lot of that is done by RAM, XsX has better video memory.
Improvements made by the SSD will more often than not hit a design bottleneck, while improvements over HDD may be noticeable, the gap between PS5 & XsX SSD speeds maybe almost irrelevant to the actual gameplay.
Maybe extra features will benefit from this, such as switching between games, transferring data, etc but virtually all the SSD benefits touted by Cerny, apply to the XsX too, to which ...
