Before people start raising alarms, they need to understand that maybe Sony has very good reasons to let go of certain people based on poor performances (like Stig Asmussen that spent close to $100 million rebooting a game over and over that just wasnt turning into anything good). Sony is a global company that has been in the videogame industry for over 20 years. i think its safe to say Sony knows what they are doing.
Guerilla Cambridge, Sony London and Evolution either just finished a game (Killzone Mercenary/The Playroom) or are wrapping up a game (Drive Club). Studios always hire before a project and let people go right after. Same with Sony Santa Monica. They just recently cancelled a game. Those extra people they picked up were no longer needed. When an entire studio closes down, then ill be concerned.
You dont hear about other companies letting as many people go because they dont h...
Wow....so I guess people were excited about playing Infamous. Who knew? LOL Seriously though, congrats to Infamous and the PS4. Sony continues its dominating performance.
Sony has been on such a dominating roll this new generation going all the way back to last years E3. Successful launch, sold out through the holidays and continued to maintain worldwide sales dominance even 5 months later.
People need something to complain about to keep the console war interesting. Thats fine, the sales numbers speak for themselves. Gamers wouldnt keep selling out a system if it had no games worth playing. Common sense.

@MrCrimson/Nukeitall - When you have 2 big games like Forza and Titanfall that you advertised as "system sellers"....that generally means you dont have to offer them for free and reduce the price of your console all to convince people to buy your product. Im not saying MS is wrong for doing whatever they can to stay competitive. There is nothing wrong with admitting a company is feeling pressure by the success of its competitors. Sony went through it last gen with the PS3 and it wor...
For the last couple of weeks, people have been wondering if Microsoft was being too desperate to sell xone systems by bundling in their big "system seller" Titanfall for free. At first i didnt think so either, but now Microsoft is also throwing in a free copy of their 2nd biggest exclusive Forza 5? Wow, thats pretty shocking. I still dont know if MS is desperate, by they sure are showing small signs of panic.
He was a part of the PSone and PS2 as they became 2 of the greatest video game consoles in the history of gaming. After a rough beginning, he helped the PS3 turn its fortunes around and become the fastest selling HD console worldwide last generation. And he was on the frontlines of one of the most exciting console launches ever, ushering in the next generation with the PS4. Jack Tretton will be missed. I wish him the best of luck moving forward.
Wow...so much bitterness. I guess this is a sensitive topic for you? Relax, take a deep breath. Its just videogames.
So you spoke to every store manager throughout the entire country of Japan? LOL ok champ, when all else fails....make up ridiculous stories.
Ok champ...now you are just trying way too hard. You're obviously very bitter right now. Whatever helps you sleep at night.
Its way too soon to say anyone is in trouble. However, MS already offering price reductions on the Xone and giving away their biggest "system seller" bundled for free is definitely showing some small signs of desperation by Microsoft to not fall too far behind Sony and the PS4.
While Sony is giving us hard sales numbers, im sure MS will release a statement about how many consoles they shipped to stores. I know how many consoles you shipped MS. I see them sitting on shelves everytime i go to my local retail stores. Im more curious how many xone consoles were actually bought by consumers.
Some people can act bitter and hate on the PS4 all they want. The sales charts speak for themselves. Congrats Sony!
Xbox has been getting criticized because the majority of their games dont run at 1080p. This whole argument is ridiculous because the majority of PS4 games do run at 1080p. Killzone IS a native 1080p game that just happens to have an upscaled 1080p MP. Some people are trying to make it sound like Sony got caught trying to pass off a 720p game as a 1080p experience.

@Gamer666 - I never said Killzone was going to win any GOTY awards, but it was a very good launch game for the PS4. As far as "expecting new IPs from Sony"...Sony has already proven that they can and will deliver on long term exclusive new IP support. While other systems spent years releasing the same 3 or 4 games every year, Sony was out there taking chances giving us innovative new award winning franchises like The Last of Us, Heavy Rain and LittleBigPlanet.

Dont get yourselves annoyed guys. With all of the PS4's huge early success (including the announcement that PS4 already passed 6 million sales), a lot of fanboy bitterness has been coming out recently. PS4 already has a double platinum selling title (Killzone) and is about to drop its second big seller (Infamous Second Son). I say just let the sales charts speak for themselves.
More like "EA lost out on a huge sales opportunity to bring Titanfall to the PS4." PS4's are selling very well right now without Titanfall. Sony doesnt need Titanfall to sell PS4 consoles....but EA definitely would have enjoyed having an additional 6 million customers to market to.
I personally feel the xbox community is just trying to downplay the issue to avoid accepting the criticism. It is what it is. To be clear, i understand people defending their console of choice. But what i find ironic however is how last gen it was the xbox community that started the whole "3rd party games look better on our system" debate. Now that the situation has changed in favor of Sony, everyone is shouting "who cares?!" and "it doesnt matter!"
