@MichaelLito - you continue using that old excuse that Sony is "lumping" PS2 sales with PS3. Yet everyone knows the PS2 was discontinued back in 2012. If that is the case, why does the total lifetime PS3 sales continue to increase? The PS3 passing over 80 million sales has nothing to do with the PS2 which is seperately up to 150 million units sold.

Tons of 8 month old games from last year stopped releasing DLCs. The Sony haters are trying to make a big deal out of nothing. PSABR was a good game and sold around 1 million copies which is very good for a single platform exclusive new IP. Unlike other consoles, Sony moved on to several other exclusives. No big deal.

You can claim Sony adds PS2 sales with PS3 sales on a year by year basis, yet it's the PS3 lifetime sales that have passed Xbox 360 on a worldwide scale....not a year by year comparison. Trying to pretend a 13 year old system that has been discontinued is responsible for PS3's high sales figures this late in the PS3's life cycle is completely hysterical. Surely you can come up with a better excuse than that.

Believe it or not....there are some people who still think Xbox One was outselling PS4 on Amazon simply because Xbox One was #1 on the Amazon weekly charts for a couple of weeks. They are completely ignoring the fact that Amazon was selling 5 different PS4 bundles and 4 out of 5 bundles sold out (compared with Xbox One which is only selling 1 bundle and it still hasn't sold out). Either way, kudos to Sony for getting the message out that PS4 is for gamers first. These fantastic sales char...
This is like Sony's 4th level sell out just in Gamestop alone. Add the multiple level sell outs on Amazon and I think its pretty safe to say the PS4 is dominating the pre-sale charts. Congrats to Sony. Its gotten so good for Sony that they have even sold out of their unlimited supply.
Misleading article. Its pathetic what some gaming sites will do for hits.
The problem is that many of the same people (they know who they are) that used to brag about sales charts and which consoles were "better" in the last gen.....are the same people now saying "it doesn't matter which system is stronger or selling more pre-orders" because their favorite console is not getting the same love now from the gaming community that it did in the last generation.
It's great to see all the excitement and support the gaming community has for the PS4. The PS4 continues to win every single online gaming poll released, proving how much gamers prefer it over the competition. Kudos to Sony for getting the message out that the PS4 was built specifically for the gamers.
This is a terribly written list. So we are to believe Xbox One will dominate an entire console generation based on 2 games, a TV app and a couple of casual gimmicks? Dont get me wrong, Xbox One has a lot of potential to be a great console....but these reasons are very weak and the list feels forced for the sake of writing a list.
Certain people can continue criticizing the Vita but the reality is the PS Vita continues to slowly but steadily increase in sales. The Vita may not drop as many games as the 3DS, but Vita games continue to impress with quality must have award winning titles like Tearaway which won this years "GCA E3 Best Portable/Handheld Game" award.
Congratulations to Sony for their continuing early success with the PS4. Even after MS dropped the DRM nonsense, gamers are still preferring the PS4 over Xbox one. Its not politics....it's just common sense. PS4 is a more gamer friendly console. Thats not a knock on Xbox, it's just reality.
The applause may have been fake....but the excitement and sold out numbers were real.
