Bioshock got an 8 out of 10 from EDGE too. What was your point again?

Nice unbiased opinion. That's very refreshing. It's true that both consoles have something worthwhile to offer.

Ratchet is quite a bit different than spyro my man.

I don't know who disagreed with you, but you are right.

Edge only gave bioshock 80/100.

Let me ask you this: Did Halo 3, Bioshock, and Gears of War deserve all the 10s they got from their reviewers? Now, of course those titles are stellar, but none of them were really genre defining. Honestly, the only genre defining (not talking sales here) title this generation is Oblivion. It doesn't have Halo's sales, but Oblivion was a truly spectacular console playing experience--one of the first titles of its kind to show up on a console. It was a third AND first person role-playing game ...

Ratchet and clank was to be a triple A title for months--an entire year. So many naysayers doubted this game--well, those naysayers were absolutely, positively wrong.

People that hate the PS3 need to give credit where it's due.

I don't typically waste keystrokes on you, but I had to say that your comments are typically pointless.

This is a spectacular month for the Xbox 360--very impressive. I expected a big month for Xbox, but it's different seeing it on paper. I am very interested to see what the sales will be next month for all consoles. I believe PS3s sales will go up due to their recent changes, but Xbox and Wii are doing fantastic. Big question: What are the worldwide numbers for this month?

I agree, I think the 80GB is a better value than the 40GB; however, I think the 40GB has its place.

If you want full backwards compatability, the 60GB (or if you can find the 20) is the only way to go.

but it works well.

there are people on this thread who used to absolutely love Gran turismo on playstation, but have turned to bashing it because they own a 360 and won't buy a ps3. That's too bad.

Nonetheless, both look great.

statistics show that the PS3 is outselling the xbox in Europe and Japan (but that's always the case in Japan). The Wii is beating both systems. And of course, the xbox is beating ps3 in america.

the 360 is a great games console, and i will be buying one, but honestly, chill out on the ps3. Give it a chance to do well, instead of automatically dismissing any possibility it has. There is no reason why a person should want a console to fail.

360 fans had to wait about a year for the xbox to hit its stride, so don't chastise the ps3 for doing the same. From a games perspectice: Xbox's 2007 is the PS3's 2008. Don't hate on a console because it needs time for its game librar...

This is the important line: "How we handle memory is really different between the two machines and we're struggling right now on the PS3."

It's the technology shift that's an issue, not the amount of memory. Yeah, PS3 has 512 MB split, but it has to be used differently compared to a unified 512, which the Xbox uses. I think it's obvious (from a development standpoint) the Xbox's solution is easiest.

And you're all right, changing disks is not a super bi...

Yes, the PS3 has the same amount of memory as the xbox360; however, the PS3 has the memory split down the middle. I know that Insomniac figured out how to pull memory from the RSX or Cell allocation to increase the memory on either the RSX or Cell to over 256. Why doesn't the development team for A Creed do the same?

Insomniac has been working on the PS3 longer though, so they are more than likely able to do more advanced things.

I think if Killzone 2 is runnin...

I am going to be honest, I'm not sure why people still dislike the PS3 when

A. The console performs and looks outstanding
B. Great games are out, and more are coming nonstop through 2008.
C. The reliability is second to none in the console world.
D. The price has come down, and is more affordable.
E. If you're worried about storage space, you can upgrade your harddrive without spending a lot of cash, i.e. any SATA 2.5 harddrive (or 3.5 if you don'...

But consumers WANTED another pricecut, so it was done. Now people say it's desperation, or whatever else they can think of. I will tell you what it is: less money that a person has to spend if he/she wants to buy a PS3. Does this really need to be dissected?

The iPHONE dropped 200 dollars after only 68 days on the market, and they removed a SKU, just like sony did with their 20GB.

Anyway, the PS3 launched too high, so Sony is rectifying the situation . . . fast. ...

but it's sort of irrelevant. Sony couldn't remove BLU-RAY now even if they wanted to, so they had to sacrifice something else. In addition, (this is a broken record) the other models still retain BC.

The ps3 has good games out, and some seemingly great games coming out soon. It's still a game machine at its core.

The blu-ray issue is a moot point that's been exhausted.
