I have been playing the Ninja Gaiden demo like crazy. The graphics are just plain amazing. I am annoyed because if Ninja Gaiden can do 1080P at 60FPS and amazing with many things going on, why the heck can't Heavenly Sword?? Oh well, it's not the end of the world.
Last time i checked, these weren't facts:
1. It only serves to distract the gamer and make him/her think about Spiderman when they should be thinking about the PS3
7. Sony, therefore, effectively put down the gamers who would buy a Wii, thus making many of us not want to buy a PS3, just out of principle.
4 - No plan for online play at launch. No plan?
5. No "must have" games at launch. Purely opinion. Compared to the xbox l...
Because it's cool that Europe got the Home beta first. I am American, but i am an owner of a PS3. There have been many announcements about Home to start its beta testing in April/May. I think this is perfectly believeable. I have also talked to many guys on forms stating they received their acceptance emails regarding the beta testing for America. Home is coming, and i'm rather excited.
engadget seems to disagree on about everything you just said in their review. They said the video quality comparisons were very minimal (if at all) and it's just as loud. Maybe your TV renders an analog signal poorly. It also doesn't support dolby 7.1 via the HDMI, and it's only HDMI 1.2. I am glad you are happy with the purchase though. It is good to hear some positive with all the negative i've been hearing.
This is my last post. Most people are saying this was bad taste, so stop arguing that point; however, this was an isolated incident and does not reflect sony's ethics as a whole. If a MS or nintendo PR group did this, i would be defending them (as a company) as well. We all know this stuff doesn't happen everyday. When a few PR morons do this stuff, you can't all the sudden think it's the companies new business model. This was a poor choice from an isolated PR group in the UK. Nothing more.
I think this--in the minds of the PR people--was meant to be much more innocent. This event was poorly contrived, and I do think they are moronic for not having some foresight, but this is mainly a media bias issue. It's going to sound worse than it probably was because of news reporters wanting a controversial story. I wander how it actually was at the event. These people aren't cavemen. People are acting like these PR people were mutilating the goat while showcasing the game. I don't trust ...
People saying "it's just a goat" does not make them immature. Some people are not reserved when it comes to animal rights. It's just their inherent personality, so people have to deal with it. Frankly, i know this is not a direct reflection on sony as a whole, so i don't really care. Boycott a company for an isolated incident? Why have a cow about an isolated incident? The people acting like we should make a big deal of this are just advocating more useless news stories for people t...
People need to stop saying sony fans are trying to defend this just because they are sony fans. There are people that could care less about some PR stunt that happened in the UK regarding a PS2 game. I highly doubt corporate Sony arranged this event. Can't you just see Phil Harrison at a meeting arranging this sort of thing? Give it a rest.
It was just a stunt done by some UK PR group. It doesn't represent Sony's ethics as a whole. After all, Sony is s a Japanese Company. Nonetheless, I would rather spend my time worrying about more important issues: iraq, the economy, and things like that; however, i am sure it will 'cause an uproar of epic proportions for some people, but ultimately, it means nothing.
for the guy above me
Everyone knows, wither you'd like to admit it or not, that the PS3 has more power ON PAPER; HOWEVER, hundreds of other things factor into making a game. Power means potential. You have to harness that power because if you can't, it's just potential. Luckily, Sony has become aware of this and is proactively trying to create and tweak their dev tools. Xbox already has great tools, so in that department, they are doing great. Nonetheless, of course developers will play to each console’s strength...
Yeah, and the Xbox 360 is being outsold by the PS2. Does that sound much better? Think before you speak.
Look at official screenshots on a 1080P TV and then state your opinion--for the people judging user submitted photos
I think the halo 3 screens look fine. In its final release, I do believe that halo 3 will look better; however, I do question how much better it will look. I think there will be a difference but it will not be gargantuan. Most games I've seen--Metal Gear 4, DMC4 (xbox and ps3), Ninja Gaiden Sigma look great now, regardless of development stage. I know Halo will polish up, but i am surprised the game doesn't look better; however, i think this could actually be microsoft's strategy. Lately, man...
Devs have been able to access both 256 MB chips simultaneously through some creative programming. It's true.
THey already have a 200 GB model out currently. It's called: Buy a Sata 200 GB HD and throw it in your ps3. You will save money anyway. It's almost as easy as making toast. Since sony added that functionality, i could care less about new skus with bigger HDs.
Read the reviews on cnet or wherever regarding the professional reviews of Sony LCDs. Sony has very high, and in most cases, the highest rated TVs. Go to bestbuy and look at the picture on a Sony Bravia 1080P LCD compared to the other ones of similar price and type. i think Sony takes the crown in the this regard. Anyway, that's just what i noticed.
Yeah, I know what you are getting at. MGS 3 didn’t sell quite that well, but MGS2 for PS2, which sold over 7 million, and MGS1 for PS1 (6.6 million) sold much better. I think people are excited about MGS4, so we may see sales above MGS3—granted enough PS3s are sold. I understand what you mean about install base, but the caveat is the xbox didn’t have too many great games (compared to PS2) when HALO 1 and 2 were released. It was a big deal for xbox owners, and so many people flocked to buy it....

How many issues did ps2 have with it's online joke? ps3 is the same so far. Sure you don't pay for it but there is no reliability at all, and it's an inconsistent mess.

Response: I have resistance, and when i play with 32-40 guys, i have no lag. Sony doesn't have enough games taking advantage of multi-player yet, but the ones that do are performing very nicely. I would deem reliability as something that works consistently. Everytime i lo...
if we got 3000 enemies at once, i suppose i can't complain. ;)
