Of course not. It's actually quite in depth and not some rambled off nonsense on a PS3Hax website. Do note that a new SKU will eliminate the issue; this according to the failoverflow people themselves.
I look forward to all the noobs who will brick their new PS3s in 2 months.
But Mr Hotz was more cautious.
"I'm scared of being hit with a lawsuit," he admitted.
Worth noting:
However, according to pytey, it may not be so easy to fix the problem this time.
"The only way to fix this is to issue new hardware," he said. "Sony will have to accept this."
So, the issue can be fixed by Sony issuing new models of PS3s with new master keys in them (properly c...
"are learning how to do 3D the right way." Anyone with 1/2 a brain or an eye for the tech, KNEW that auto-stereoscopic tech would replace stereoscopic. It was simply a matter of time. But you have to build consumer awareness and interest first. Sony spearheaded a great deal of that at their own expense.
On my Samsung, there's a button that you can press to make ANY content 3D. It doesn't have to be specifically engineered for it. That's all that the Toshiba set is doing. It selects aspects of the picture for depth and uses variable 3D effects on them.
Only difference is that there won't be glasses. I am curious to know if/ how they fixed the viewing angle problem with auto-stereoscopic tvs though.
2 monitors, 3 HDTVs and not a single issue with any of them. Not to mention that their aesthetics are gorgeous. Btw, this kinda shows all the haters that 3D is here to stay. They were demoing auto-stereoscopic sets back in 2007/2008, so I don't know why anyone is surprised by this.
is insta-fail. I read it twice (all 5 pages) and saw nothing. One of the best games this gen, best JRPGs ever and best games on the 360 - only reason I purchased a 360. MS needs to do something with this IP.
Edit: @below. Get Lost Odyssey, it's like $20 now.
Transparency with the developers. And get rid of those blasted levequest caps. They really made playing such a beautiful game a chore. I'll give the game a shot when it hits the PS3, but no more PC beta testing for me - game is clearly broken atm. At least DCUO is out in a week! That game is suprisingly fun!
Hopefully console owners get the updates for free.
Are you being facetious? They're the most distilled and perfected money-milking machines of their respective genres. Sooooooo accessible to everyone. That's why they're popular.
WoW has taken the MMO - previously the domain of number crunching, spec-crazy, PC nerds - and made it viable across almost every demographic and PC spec. I had a grandmother in my guild, lovely woman, never touched a video-game before in her life. Sure there's theory-crafting, but...
Most free to play MMOs are total crap. And the micro-transactions can range from fair (Perfect World) to game breaking and totally imbalanced (Alloids). I have yet to see any f2p game where a free player has access to every other item, feature and cosmetic item as people who pay. They could do this too. Just give these things to paying players and leave them to be acquired in game by free players, but they (developers) never do.
Remember that misguided kid who spent over ...
with massive updates every three months. I was in the beta and they fixed pretty much every issue by the last patch (freezing, voice, UI speed).
I was actually going to wait for a digital version, but I caved and pre-ordered. I have two other friends who did the same after playing the beta (one is a total WoW fiend too, so I was surprised).
The game is just plain FUN. First 30 days are free and if they keep the content coming, I won't be playing anythi...
One universal pda/ PC/ phone/ video-game machine that has a sweet resolution, all the bells and whistles (keypad, joypad, blu-tooth, decent flash storage), that I carry with me, then take home, plug - via HDMI - into the t.v., pick up a controller and game with.
That's pretty much where the future is headed. Whoever does this first will make a KILLING off the brand.
You clearly haven't read all the info. There are certainly ways to track modded/ custom firm ware use ONLINE (MS has demonstrated this), and nearly 100% of games these days have online components, MP, Leaderboards or whatever.
Edit: I DO get it. But you seem to think that there is no software response that Sony can issue. In the DF article, it even states that all games moving forward can be made to work with NEW development keys implemented after 3.41 (or whatever, c...
Pretty sure Sony can still block/ ban online cheating/ hacked accounts and consoles just like MS does. So they could really just pull an X-mas ban wave like MS and rake in the console sales every year or so.
I understand that this is a software sort of hack, so they can reverse engineer like the PSP. Hypervisor is still untouched though (see: Eurogamer's DF article), but Sony really messed up on not including a random number in their code-signing process. That said, PS...
You reply to a rather serious debate with some offhanded, obscure, slightly-homophobic remarks and you expect someone not to respond? Perhaps you should read your comment again, and ask yourself why people are hitting you with disagrees.
I didn't really dislike you at all, before this thread. Sure, I've always questioned your fervent obsession with Nintendo. But when you step into an area of mature, social debate with childish arguments and comments, expect to be ...
and quote it as if it's a complete thought. When it's not even a finished sentence.
In large, metropolitan centres of civilization - NY, Toronto - places of culture and education, being gay IS acceptable. That's what my statement implied, but clearly you have comprehension issues. Thanks for posting another ignorant comment, Sidar. Awesome stuff. I actually thought you to be a bit beyond that, but you've come far short of my expectations. Throwing in a t...
Remember Rosa Parks? That was only 1/2 a century ago, and in a time of far less social awareness and liberties than we have today. I never said homosexuality was 100% accepted, not at all, anywhere in my post. But hate IS on it's way out.
I know lots of gay couples and friends. I'm not sure where you live, but in most large centers of population, being gay is perfectly acceptable (if not acceptable in an individual's mind, most of the time they know enough to keep their disapproval to themselves). It's just as ignorant to attack or dislike someone for their sexual preference as it is to be a bigot regarding race or gender.
Thing was, in Dragon Age, you only saw the gay content IF YOU WANTED TO....
Carefully this time. Cheers.
Wow, what a dribble of a show.
I was utterly disappointed by not seeing PSP Phone. And closing with Elivis/ Cirque Du Soleil? Wasn't that embarrassing enough at MS' E3?
I know it's just a consumer electronics show, but a few more product reveals for non-3D items would have been nice.
If the PSP2 didn't have 3D at this point, I would be very surprised.
